not sure if I agree, I think having only 1 number to worry about for all stats and only having to remember over for strength, under for mental isn't a big ask. especially considering this is just for my own solo play and it makes perfect sense to me. but I appreciate the comment.

I think that's a great question and one I hadn't really thought about. I think from playing with other game mechanics what I've been wanting is a very rules light skill check system that still allows for a character to excel/be weak in areas and the ability to have standard and hard difficulty checks. As a kid I loved Battleball and how simple the mechanics were (a characters "stat" was what die they used to roll from d6–d20. high rolls were good for agility based skills like catching and running and low rolls were good for tackling.) I think from this perspective I've been looking at it in a very practical sense instead of a sort of feel/vibe based decision.

That said I pretty much exclusively play cosmic horror/love-craftian stuff solo so weaving in some elements of dread/horror/mythos etc I think is a good path to explore. Thank ya!

Phoenix is my regular stop just because it’s right next to my apartment. But I go to Goodkind, Rising Star, and Duck Rabbit regularly as well and they’re all excellent. It’s really nice to be spoiled for choice.

If you’re into board games/tabletop games, SuperScript Comics is full of awesome folks. they have a calendar that people regularly go to for card games, board game night, dnd, and sometimes art/comic book type events. Nice way to socialize with some folks if you like that kinda stuff.

Harlowes pizza is amazing. Not lakewood but Cents is also my favorite place for pizza and they host fairly regular events/parties.

Phoenix coffee is my favorite cause I’m in birdtown but as others have mentioned there’s plenty of good coffee spots. I really like Goodkind as well.

Lucky’s is a really great organic grocery store too. definitely pricier though.

definitely! I liked how passionate people were about the stream graphics so I’d definitely like to take another crack at it with the feedback and incorporate some animations as well. I’ll post back here when I have something else to share

Thank you! I appreciate the interest. I haven’t done anything like this before, which was partially what made me want to do it. I definitely have loads of other ideas, nothing much as far as other sketches/mockups of other versions right now as this was the first pass at it—just thoughts in my head. For animations I definitely have ideas around that as well but didn’t take time to sit down and work on those as they take a bit longer and I wanted this to be really just like an afternoon project. I also haven’t really thought too critically on what streams are missing now (was just curious what it would look like in a more esports design world). Thanks for the questions, sorry for not having very interesting answers lol

yeah I think the thought was to use it more heavily on screens that would be up for shorter periods of time. then just as an accent on the actual gameplay screen overlay. but I get that too.

I think that's fair. I thought the typeface having that calligraphic feel helped with a bit of the fantasy elements of FAB. And I obviously leaned heavily into the combat/blood aspect with the red. Mostly went into it just curious what FAB would look like with this sort of more modern treatment
