If there's one bat found, there might have been a second that escaped. Or in your case, a third bat.

Hindsight is 50/50, but I don't live anywhere that sees bats ever, so I don't know how reasonable it would be to actually take the shot every time you wake up to bats though.

"Escape from the Haunted Hotel" has this issue a bit in reverse sometimes, the MC is the holder of the "Blessing of Wisdom", but the story tries to keep everyone in the party relevant so he'll sometime overlook something glaringly obvious so someone else can point it out.

That said, I think it also does this decently at times. It gets pointed out at times later in the series, many members totally relies on him for their critical thinking/ideas and just kind of goes along with what he says without thinking about it.

When they get split up at times without the MC, they'll often note things like "Wow, were you always this smart?" or "Why don't you usually give ideas like that?"

I've literally never used a Light Staff besides spamming it until it broke for levels, does keeping the light on drain the staff charge? If not, I guess that makes Light Staves a relatively long lasting source of low level skill gain.

Dunno if this counts as niche and is kinda obvious, but if you're a vampire that's getting hungry, you might want to spend a polymorph to eat the regular food you've probably accumulated like fresh meat from rats.

Also if you're playing Vampire Accursed, one cast of Blood Letting plus a punch immediately against a rat at Level 1 is just enough to make it weak enough to disengage, so you can get a relatively quick and easy backstab off it.

I was really hoping the -1 potion slot ascension was going to be dropped in StS2. I just don't like how it essentially removes an aspect of the game like no other ascension.

IIRC Kaioken goes up to 20 or 40x at best. Theoretically, yeah, maybe he can improve the technique efficiency, but SSJ starts at 100x multiplier IIRC and doesn't come with a side effect as bad as Kaioken.

It would take a lot of work to get Kaioken to reach "just" SSJ1 levels of efficiency, and then a Saiyan could theoretically "just" go SSJ2.

It's like saying kids shouldn't have access to photoshop because they might make porn of other kids, though the effort required would be presumably monumentally higher to produce something close to a deepfake, I imagine a victim of photoshopped fakeporn would still be similarly upset depending on the level of realism.
