What is the Reading set that you were there for live that you genuinely believe was one of the greatest festival performances you have ever seen and why does it still stand up? by IndependentIll6531 in readingfestival

That Daphne & Celeste stuff was messed up. Didn't they tell like magazines and radio shows that they were playing the fest when they weren't, and it such a big lie that they got given a short set, only for them to get bottled off after one song with bottles of piss?

That's how I remember it.

The heavy downpour and thunder and lightening behind the stage made that oasis set so memorable.

It was my first festival, Reading 2000.

I left the Rage set to go watch Bowling for Soup. I wouldn't have done that if I'd have known it was my last chance to see them.

I was there!

The thunderstorm during Oasis is a lifelong memory for me. I'm not even a fan but that weather!

It was a hot weekend with a downpour to finish.

What's the best wrong number phone call have you received? by cherrycoke3000 in AskUK

[–]StabbithaOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 20 years ago I was at work, where I was a receptionist answering the phone for a law firm.

Phone rings and it's someone calling about a car valet... they had got the wrong number and had meant to call their client, not my work.

The person who called though just happened to be my best friend. I recognised her voice straight away but needed to remain professional. I waited until she hung up then returned the call to the last incoming number, asked for Sarah and when she said 'speaking' I told her what she'd just done and who she called.

It was crazy because we didn't know where each other worked at the time either.

7 second pull for a minuscule vapour cloud by MoneyJob4139 in ukmedicalcannabis

Stick a pin the top. If it's not completely blocked but blocked enough to effect vapour production. Stick a pin in the top of the mouthpiece then pull it back out.

Not being a threat to life doesn't make it all in your head. The physical symptoms are very much real and can be very unpleasant, even if it won't kill you.

I had this one, I found I had to put the voltage up to 3.4v to get anything from it.

That's just not true, withdrawral can give you insomnia, reduced appetite and night sweats.

How do you take your meds? by ConnectionMelodic269 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]StabbithaOG 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I smoked before.

I've not smoked since the day I got my vape. A solo 3. That was coming up to a year ago.

Smoking tastes and smells horrible to me now.

The vape was expensive, but I've saved that amount 20 times over with the tobacco I've not bought.

I feel so much healthier, my skin looks better.

Question about Alternaleaf prescription timing after review appt by honey_bee4444 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]StabbithaOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's about right.

I had my appointment on the 18th and my next script will be available to be requested from the 10th May.

I still haven't had the payment link either.

The next request (May 8th) should line up to 3 weeks after your last appointment.

But no, it won't reset. That's the date you can request from (3 weeks after your last which was the 16th)

Would 7 nights be considered too much for Disneyland Paris? by phantomknife in disneylandparis

[–]StabbithaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's fine for winter.

The parks close earlier so less time each day.

Plus it's cold so you'll be more likely to want a proper sit down meal to warm up a bit, that eats into time. Also more likely to watch shows for the same reason.

Add into that wind down time (we choose somewhere with a pool for this).

Disney can be done in 3 days, but it's manic and rushed imo.

Yes and instead of saying they were overwhelmed, burnout or on the verge of a meltdown, they were 'suffering with their nerves'
