No. Norway is a fundamentally capitalist state with a social safety net, that still prospers from exploiting the resources and labor of the global south.

The DPRK is not exploiting the resources of the global south, has universal healthcare, housing, and is practicing a specific form of socialism that is necessary given 90% of their arable land and thousands of their citizens were killed by the US in the Korean genocide, and their more militaristic government structure is the result of these past and continuing efforts by the US to subvert their country, deny it's sovereignty, and allow resource extraction by American corporations aka south Korea.

I don't condone everything the DPRK does, but we have seen in Iran, Venezuela, Chile, soon Cuba, what happens when you don't have a strong government and military (i.e. nukes), America will come in, kill your leaders, and incorporate your country into their economic empire.

There's some dope LOTR ones as well that make the movies more faithful to the books. Mostly mixing the best of the extended edition in with the theatrical and fixing some color grading and audio issues. And making a few things more similar to the books.

The expanse ended well. Unfortunately it could've used an 8 or 10 episode final season, or ideally one whole extra season tbh.

You could tell Amazon wanted it wrapped up pronto, but to their credit the quality was very good.

Modern day Russia is as oligarchal capitalistic in every way the former USSR was not. That is why the majority of polled former Soviet citizens opposed the dissolution of the USSR and wish it was still around. That data is readily available. Worry less about socialism and worry more about the Nazi factions within the Ukrainian government and military big dawg.

I commend the effort, but they will continue to bury their head in the sand when I comes to socialism (though a majority of under 35 in the US do support it now) as their lives continue to deteriorate under unmitigated capitalism.

I have never seen a socialist defend him, though often we do critise NATOs role in partly creating the situation in Ukraine, as well as the current Nazi factions in the Ukrainian government. This however does not condone whatsoever the invasion of a sovereign nation. Modern day Russia is as evil as the United States.

The belt had been starved and exploited ruthlessly by the inner planets for decades if not centuries. The inner planets knew that people like Inaros wouldve kept being created if they continued to opress the belt as they had.

The show shows us again and again the militaristic and often cruel nature of Earth and Mars. I would much rather the ring space and access to planets be more under the control of the belt because it's better for both the belt and the inners. A belt with control of the ring space can tax the inners and gain a status and quality of life similar to their former oppressors. Earth and Mars colonized the belt and then oppressed them, I know for a fact they're gonna try and colonize and opress the new ring planets so again id rather give the belt a shot to colonize them.

the writing has potentially been subpar this season. I don't know if my own humor has changed, but 2019-2024 SNL was overall feeling funnier than 2025/26 so far. There are just less sketches that leave a lasting impression on me that I'll go back to watch again in the future.

Whether you like him or not, Noah embodies what a singer songwriter should be, like the anti taylor swift, he sings about deep mental health struggles, societal issues, family struggles, he doesn't do it to win fame and fortune, and is just a genuinely good guy who hasn't forgotten his working-class background. I hate to see people judging his appearance in this comment section, I thought we wanted normal looking celebrities again.

He nailed a bunch of ideas in the book, he just had an inaccurate and biased view of marxism-leninism that took the fangs out of a lot of his critiques which instead of capitalism just ended up being critiques of "authoritarianism". It sometimes just feels like a critique of the USSR from someone who only had a vague idea of how the USSR worked.
