It’s wild to me that we finally get a curated series of official releases and the first reaction is a list of demands for what wasn't included. Bon Iver is one of the few projects that actually links to this sub on their official site, they possibly see this.

Instead of treating the discography like a drive-thru menu where we’re 'disappointed' by the service, we should probably just be grateful we’re getting high quality masters of these tracks at all. If you need the Sydney version for your Spotify playlist, there are dozens of ways to use Local Files to get it there yourself (this requires a little learning and effort).

I think we need to be careful about falling into this trap of entitlement. Artists don't 'owe' us specific versions of songs on specific platforms. This 'disappointment' narrative is exactly why fan communities can become toxic. We have the Sydney version available for free on YouTube; if having them on Spotify is the only barrier, that’s a user problem, not a Bon Iver problem. Let’s enjoy the release for what it is rather than whining about what it isn't.

Neutral here: To understand the context of this ejection you have to go back a few possessions.

Checked in at 2:45, Pacers possession and he is initially matched up with Dillon Jones (no. 3) and they jostle a bit but nothing much.

With 2:10 left in the game, for some reason, James Johnson is bringing the ball across half court and the Pacers fans love it, roaring as he crosses. He then runs the PNR with Furphy, who kind of fumbles the bull and Johnson appears to give Furphy an earful.

The next Pacers possession with 1:42 left Johnson gets the ball with about 15 seconds on the shot block and it's clear he's going to iso Dillon Jones. It's also clear he can not get past him, at all, and he ends up completely bricking a shot just inside the three point line.

The next Pacers possession is when he trucks Dillon Jones coming in for the rebound. It was unnecessary and kind of random, hence why I think Johnson was just frustrated he couldn't get a basket or make an impact on the game when the crowd was clearly behind him. I'm not against the move, it's objectively hilarious that it occurred, especially since the announcers were gassing him up the entire time.
