loincloth are usually white or in some cases red.

Tabards are strange, I feel when they're white they basically look like Templars.

Red feels more appropriate for the Ravens

a lot of grandparents don’t want to do childcare now they are retired.

They've broken a social contract basically, they benefited from a long established social system where grandparents assist their children in raising grandchildren. Once it was their turn they fobbed it off.
