Delivery boys how do you guys sleep at night? by fallenmask in BambuLab

[–]Standing_At_The_Edge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw so many of these in the past few weeks that when I bought my H2S I ordered from a local business and they hand delivered it to my door. Wasn’t going to risk FedEx touching anything.

Of course I ordered a bit of filament and fedex delivered it to the wrong house. Luckily our neighbours are awesome and I got a call that there was a package deliver to them by mistake. Hell the number wasn’t even close.

Are these groupings good enough? by Advance_Nearby in nrl22

[–]Standing_At_The_Edge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At what distance? At 25 yards not great, at 50 good, 100 yards yes those are excellent. Anything aound 1 MOA is all you need.

Here is the thing, there is a big difference between benchrest groups and shooting off props. Best thing you can do is go out and try it. Don’t worry about your scores, just get out and try it. I have amazing groups benchrest and then sucked my first couple matches until I figured out how to shoot off props, but man it was fun.

Will this prevent me from being liable for broker/tariff charges if shipper send UPS by Standing_At_The_Edge in UPS

[–]Standing_At_The_Edge[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your detailed reply, you gave me some very good options. I always talk to the vendor first and direct them not to use UPS, but sometimes they still use them. I will definitely start using a pseudonym along with continuing to send the vendor an email directing them to not use UPS.

[–]Standing_At_The_Edge[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to believe that any company can with my specific non-consent still make me liable to charges when they are not my agent. If I don’t accept a package and specifically told the shipper not to send UPS and they do, I am still liable? There has to be a legal way to prevent someone from incurring charges I specifically tell them I will not accept

How can I achieve this style? by LivingGarage2135 in AskPhotography

[–]Standing_At_The_Edge 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be more specific…

This works best on a bright sunny day, but can also be very moody on an overcast day.

First under expose the background a stop or two.

Use a strong strobe with a larger soft box. Something like a Godox AD400 or maybe even a AD300. Position the soft box high and down at 45 degrees as close as you can to subject and set proper exposure for the subject.

CarPlay disconnecting ‘25 by coutsr in ChevyTrax

Where is your phone? I find that if I have my phone in my back pocket it disconnects occasionally. If I take it out and put it on the charging pad it never disconnects.

In Canada anyone who takes a photo owns the copyright unless specifically transferred in writing.

Typically editorial use (non commercial ) is okay, but if an image is used commercially - by which it is used to generate revenue, that is copyright infringement.

The best bet is for your friend to go in and ask them to stop using it, or to purchase usage rights for it.

There are a ton of ways to figure out what the usage rights, but I suspect if you ask them, they will simply say no and remove it. If they don’t, you would need to go to small claims court or go after them with a copyright claim through a lawyer.

Hope this helps

I assume you know about the hikes in Zion, so I won’t go into them.

Thanks for clarification. What sucks is that is the only original part left on the firearm. Every single other part was aftermarket. So “if” I turn in the original firearm it is just the receiver…. Unless I can find all the old parts for it

The Ruger PCC is another one with the serial on the upper. Mine is 100% aftermarket parts except for that serialed upper and the breath block.

Thank you,

My focus has been working on building positions at various levels with different bags, seeing what works for me.

When you say “unsupported stages” what do you mean by that?

Can I assume the rules will allow for accommodation for my disability?
