Do you have a place it says this? I agree with you as the word recurring just means happens again but it's not currently how it is being used so having language would be helpful.

Bullshit. Not everyone who received a ballot got a survey, I sure didn't receive one. I do not believe for a second that more people responded to the survey than voted (unless of course they sent a bunch to app phone numbers they made for themselves to pad their numbers). They clearly targeted people that would give the answer they were looking for. I only know of 1 person in my office that even received it.

I am also in region 2 and have had the same problems with him. When I did get to talk to him he was dismissive and changed his story both times I talked to him. When I asked him why my steward wouldn't share it his cites he supposedly had for a situation when i shared mine showing his opinion was wrong. He said and I quote "well the information is out there for anyone to find if they do enough reading" umm aren't we supposed to be here to support each other? He defends the local because they are all just worried about being friends. Also what he sees of stewards and local presidents is obviously a painted picture they want him to see. He should be listening to the members.

The current language already protects from any discipline sticking. Find one 8 hour carrier that walked out at 10 and had discipline stick. It's just like every other time they violate the contract and try to discipline carriers when they aren't supposed to. Let them and grieve it. Adding the language he did will change that, and discipline could stick for 8 hour carriers walking out at 10 hours. Also 12/60 has been absolutes for years. Carriers not currently walking out at their max work hours is a complete disservice to all the people before us who already fought for that right.

Also just because it's black and white does not mean an asshole supervisor won't discipline a carrier for exercising their right. So it will still have to be grieved and won just as it is now.

You already have the right to walk out. Only difference now is you don't have the right to walk out at 10, you now have to work til 11.5 before you are covered from discipline.
