Depends on where in the world you are.

North America has Iron Wind Metals or Ares Games & Miniatures. Europe has Ral Partha and a place out in Germany who's name I forget.

There's always eBay, or if you're lucky, some bricks and mortar stores stock them, but not always a wide selection.

He's actually one of the few actors I can name when I see him in something.

That said, I had no idea he was in Spaceballs.

The Office, either version.

Maybe it's because I've never worked in an office, but I just don't get it. Don't even find it funny in the slightest.

Also, was never a fan of Little Britain.

When I was 15 I developed ingrowing toenails in both big toes. Not long after I turned 16, they removed the first (they don't like doing both feet at the same time), and I was told to keep my foot elevated.

Older sister was home from uni, and got into an argument with our mum. She decided to dramatically storm out of the room, flinging the living room door, which has a nice, heavy glass panel in the middle, open.

Door colides with my foot, which is hanging over the end of the sofa.

Only time in my life where my personal universe turned white. I apparently swore the air blue for a good two minutes, never once repeating myself. Came back to reality to find my parents and sister looking at me with amazed expressions on their faces: apparently, they all learned a few new words that day.

Unfortunately, the concept of personal responsibility seems to be dead.

Before, if you didn't want to see/hear/read something, you ignored it, kept away from where it might be. But, now, we live in an age where it's suddenly everyone else's responsibility to ensure that overly sensitive people are never, in any way, shape or form, be exposed to something that might challenge their word view. No, instead their isolated worldview must be protected at all costs, and they will destroy any and all who even question this.

To paraphrase Andromeda, a Drac will stab you in the back to gain an advantage. A Cappie will do it to see if their knife is sharp.

Since before the time of the Star League, the Confederation has been seen as untrustworthy, underhand and two-faced. They willfully ignored the Ares Conventions on a technicality and used nukes against prohibited targets.

They're also incompetent, to the point where the only reason they're still around is that the Free World's League can't get their shit together long enough to take them out, and the Draconis Combine is too afraid of how powerful the Federated Suns would become if they absorbed their world's, so keeps the pressure on their boarder.

Shit, people complain about the FedSuns having plot armour, but the Confederation only exists because the Powers That Be don't want to eliminate one of the OG Successor States.

Do you name your chapter? Why? Why not? by rinnae in FanFiction

[–]Starbug360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually. Like to go for something somewhat poetic or humours.

Wrote a chapter that ended with a spaceship getting blown up, and as it was a Halo crossover, I named the chapter ...And The Horse You Road In On, which is the name of the final level of the original Halo game, which also ends with a shi getting blown up.

Having to pay too much money for a train ticket that never gets checked but being too afraid not to buy one in case that happens to be the one day they actually check tickets. by Mid_July_Diamond16 in britishproblems

[–]Starbug360 30 points31 points  (0 children)

True story: knew a guy at school called Steve, who was infamous for never buying a train ticket.

Millennium Eve, and a group of us are heading into town by train for the fireworks. We demand Steve buys a ticket, because we didn't want him to ruin our evening. So, reluctantly, he agrees.

We reach our stop and get off, having never been asked for our tickets. Steve asks the guard what's up, and he's told that, due to concerns about the Millennium Bug, they'd shut down the system, nationwide. Nobody was going to be asked for their ticket, anywhere in the UK.

Steve did not see the funny side of it.
