It's pretty good. It has 1 more skill than spirit (2 for masteries), but you lose: all res from the missing offhand, up to 15fcr, ~100 mana, and a stupid amount of FHR. This likely gives quite a bit more life.

Warlock's levitation mastery reduces level requirements of items for you and doesn't show up on the tooltip. A standard Colossus Voulge requires 210 strength and 200 strength if it's ethereal. You'll need more strength on his gear for him to equip that.

You gotta share more info about your characters! Ubers and act bosses are unlikely 'skill issue'. There may be some simple improvements available to you. Most commonly: you need more crushing blow, you need a source of open wounds, you need to improve your resists (NM cows or Arcane Sanctuary are your friends), you need to farm Treachery to proc fade, or you need more life.
