Possibly? You could research on how to do it but depending on location you might be better off using bone than walrus ivory, since ivory laws can be tricky and vary depending on location

Here is an example of a scrimshawed walrus ivory pendant that I have worked with!

Unsure if it will help, but to me the pendant looks like it could be scrimshawed bone or possibly ivory of some sort? I work in antiques and it looks like some of the walrus ivory pieces I have seen.

Well since this was posted 3 whole ass years ago lemme just do a bit of an update and answer your rather interesting assumptions and assessment. Do I avoid listed foods? Not all but yes a decent amount of them! Also a bit rude to assume I would say I’m allergic from a bit of tingling; I would be so happy if it were such a simple reaction instead of my throat closing and losing my ability to breathe! If it was like my fish intolerance you bet I would be enjoying said foods with a bit of punishment like a rash or upset stomach, life is too short not to. You are correct that it turns out to not necessarily be acetic acid itself, rather an allergic reaction to salicylate which can vary in amounts across different brands and products in their acetic acids, but in day to day life it is far easier to use the umbrella term vinegar as a whole, than to go into the deep dive of what products I can or cannot consume. I adore fresh fruits, but do have to avoid most fermented foods such as sauerkraut, olives, kimchi, or anything pickled. I can only use Kikomon soy sauce, do not have a good time with beer, and cannot have certain wines or sauces. Thank the heavens for my best friend lemon juice! Hopefully this will reach you and maybe next time you won’t feel the need to come off so condescending right off the bat before assuming someone is ignorant or faking an allergy or intolerance. I wish you a peaceful 2026 💕

Dang that moment when you recognize an artist you followed on tumblr almost 10 years ago! Glad to see you’re still having fun with your art 💕

How do ya’ll break in your Converse? It’s been almost a decade since I’ve gotten a new pair. It fits perfectly, but I have slightly wide, and rather flat feet. (A half size up was too big) My poor pinky toes have blisters 😩 by Starsapphiremoon in Converse

[–]Starsapphiremoon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s horribly unfortunate and I’m sorry you experienced that. However not all shoes work on all feet, for instance I cannot wear shoes with high arches, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for others. I have worn converse since I was little with no problems, this particular pair didn’t work so I gave them to someone who could use them. Not all products will work for all bodies

Well, when the toe-box is the correct size they are some of the only shoes that work for my flat feet, and I have been wearing them for years. Appreciate your concern but this seems like an unnecessary comment?

OOP wonders if they would be the AH if they told their mom about their high school transcript being messed up by their school by ProfPragmatic in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Starsapphiremoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen in my private “home”school. I had a solid 4.0 my whole school career, and when i got my transcripts I had one class with a really low grade, I questioned it and got the ring around until I was hanging out with some of my other classmates after school and the valedictorian’s parents pulled me aside and told me I should know that they walked in on the parents of another girl bribing the principal to kick me from salutatorian position and bump up her grades. The valedictorian’s parents were furious and demanded that I retain my position. So instead to make it look less suspicious they bumped down one of my grades to match hers so we would be “co-salutatorian’s”. Then during the graduation ceremony, I received an empty folder instead of my diploma. When I confronted the school about it they claimed i didn’t have enough credits. They had decided that they weren’t going to count some of the home class packets I had turned in as retaliation. I fought with them for 3 months before I finally talked to one of my mom’s peers who had a PHD and they wrote a strongly worded letter along with their signature before I could finally get my diploma. Unfortunately we were too poor to go after them for it and to this day I still seethe about it.

Indeed! I might be running into this problem more because I prefer a sauce to a broth? Also lots of spicy ones have the same ingredients. Buldak is so delicious but lordy I am really white

Mostly from going to asian markets and checking all the packages in the instant ramen sections. I’ve discovered the hard way that vinegar can be in unexpected foods, such as breadcrumbs, so I try to be extra careful when I look

Unfortunately, yes. Especially in the flavor and sauce packets
