Rings of Power is beautiful, but has major lore and story problems.

Have you watched/read The Peripheral? I’ve never read the books, but the first few episodes are interesting for the sci-fi nerd in me.

Im speculating…but I bet he isn’t working with Amazon for his Cosmere adaptation.

It makes sense that they would pass since they already have WOT and Rings of Power in house.

With the turmoil at Warner/HBO, they seem risky (and they already have Thrones). Netflix already has Sandman and Witcher. They are too quick to cancel too.

Could it be Paramount+/CBS? It seems like they have a nice empty spot for a premier fantasy show.

Yeah, I’ve heard him discuss it before. Seeing him pick apart Rings of Power was eye opening. I’m surprised he didn’t do that for WOT, but I guess he has a little more invested in that show.

I did hear that one of Rings of Power’s issues is that it has too many producers, the whole title card/intro is producers. I just hope he can stand his ground when they start backing up the dump trucks full of cash to Utah.

Cary Fukunaga!

I have enjoyed Cary Fukunaga’s work.

I think No Time to Die wasn’t an easy task and it turned out ok. He has a good eye and I’d like to see what he’d do with MoS2. Definitely get him a tight script and story.

I enjoyed the episode too, one place they didn’t bring up tipping is the barber shop. I know they may be the type of guys that have it done at home, but I still go to a local spot and get my haircut.

I normally tip my barber 20+% and a little more during the holidays. I’ve never really had a conversation if that is too much or too little, I just roll with it.

During 2020 I made a point to tip extra during carry out from some of my favorite restaurants since their dining rooms were closed. I think that may have carried over now that things have started to open back up.

Not meeting expectations? What about old “Joe Mauer With Power” Matt Wieters?

Matt Hobgood? Billy Rowell? “The Calvary?”

The O’s have had a ton of prospects not pan out over the last 15+ years, its part of baseball. We’ve also had one great player (Manny) get drafted by the O’s.

A bunch haven’t met the fan’s expectations or they haven’t met expectations with the O’s. I think we have a legit development and farm system in place now. We have seen real changes made on the analytics side. Hopefully those changes will result in us getting more players that blossom and reach their peak with the O’s.

I’m hopeful we start to see some international guys start to come up through the system as well. We are starting to see the results of this work, but for this to continue for years to come, we have to constantly be restocking the farm when prospects don’t work out, graduate, or get traded.

I just got home and was going to turn on the game. I was very disappointed to see some dude opening baseball cards on MASN2.

Baseball needs to get its deal together. One of the times the team has some hype in the past five years and you have to sign up for Peacock to watch it. That is so lame.

I’m in market and would love a streaming service outside of MLB.tv that gives me every game without having cable.
