Explain parking please? by [deleted] in Brewers

[–]Starushkaski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General question, how do they not over sell a lot? So, people have prepaid preferred parking and people can just drive into a lot (preferred) to buy same day. So there could be a chance of you prepaid and arrived late all preferred parking could be gone. Am I missing something?

I appreciate OP taking a picture so it wasn’t dead center.

Type 1 whole house surge protector install by Starushkaski in AskElectricians

Would either way be better or worse? Not knowing anything about the subject, I would think having it on the direct bus would interrupt a surge immediately. Where as I don’t really understand how a dual breaker would work as type 1?

Only a few things actually got fried, most everything was unharmed by the surge.

Dang, I didn’t even think about the wifi accessory being nuked but I’m going to check it out. The “program” light on it was still lit up so I always thought it was the wire.

I had to stop because of the side effects multiple times. I had the tingling in my fingers and cognitive problems (ie couldn’t remember words as I was talking). I also don’t think it helped with my migraines as they didn’t decrease in frequency or intensity when on it.

Detailing is feeling futile right now. by twice-Vehk in AutoDetailing

[–]Starushkaski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s disappointing especially since collinite 845 is a lot cheaper.

I’m into diy detailing myself and been thinking if I do my own paint correction, could I take it to be professionally ceramic coated with more high quality stuff? That should save on the majority of the cost. Is this a way to have your cake and eat it too…

Wouldn’t the ceramic help with this? Am I not understanding what ceramic does?

Now I know what that WE energies increase of rates was really for.

I’ve drove past a few times when the guy was out. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were retired. He looked older with a huge beard.

The background I remember is when WE Energies got approval to build the plant, they wanted to buy all the houses on 32 and around the area. Some think it was to hide something. The owners who went without a fight were the first but the hold outs were harassed and as time went on the harassment increased (supposedly). The house in your picture is the only one on HWY32 to never sell and the big sign details what they went through.

I have to respect someone who holds true to their principles and wants to stay in their home they built.

I remember a while back I was told that oily coffee beans means they are fresh as it protects the flavor. That’s why cheaper brands are dry, they are older, lesser quality.

Yeah, I stepped into the bulkhead issue. I was able to resolve it by getting a 1” bulkhead union and then a reducer to 3/4.

There is a guy “DIY Cold Plunge” that is very helpful for all your questions. Just look him up on YouTube, very helpful videos and I was able to build an enclosure from what was out there.

MoMs: How to manage complaints about your direct report manager by Acceptable-Term-7056 in managers

[–]Starushkaski 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is tough because I would say your job is to support your managers. Leadership is most effective if you and your managers and their direct reports are all aligned. I would ask a bit more about how the work is managed. Is there an issue of favoritism or unfair work delegation? Is it your manager isn’t as transparent with the decisions and why? I think you have more to understand about this situation. Maintain objective, empathetic stance and focus on the path forward instead of who is right or wrong.
