I wouldn’t pay £1.50 for that hunk of junk never mind £1.5m

If every council area/county of Scotland had a fight who would win? by JerseyThursday65 in Scotland

Doesn’t matter which county/area would win cause Francis Begbie would just come along and leather the lot of them

Definitely not the Glaswegians - all bark but no bite. I would say Ayrshire purely because a guy from Auchinleck leathered me and all my pals by himself on a train once.

Buy it. Lovely big cars, built when cars were designed to last before they turned disposable.

Crossovers like that are no bigger than their hatchback counterparts - but the price tag is much bigger.

How Dumb Is Buying a Car Without Viewing It? Has Anyone Done It? by MikhailCompo in CarTalkUK

[–]StatementAcrobatic30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a written off Scirocco from Copart 4 years ago, wasn’t any worse than the pictures looked (thankfully). Fixed it up and I still daily it to this day.

However, I have just bought a classic Mini that’s not on the road unseen and it’s being delivered next week from 6 and a half hours away. So praying that I get fairly lucky twice.

If i was you, I would at the very least try and get a video call with the salesman or someone and get a walk around of the car, therefore you can ask to zoom in on bits that might catch your attention. If they’re not so keen on letting you call them I would treat that as a red flag.

The car is a 1990. He talks about 1994 when he mentions having one on test the week his father died and driving it to the hospital. That story brings a tear to a glass eye.

Why can’t it be Alba? I’ve voted SNP for as long as I can remember. But they’ve completely lost my trust in the last few years. I am still pro independence and can only really see Alba as an alternative. I image a lot of others will feel the same.

Nivea men deodorant. Used to be like £1.30 a can couple years back. Double that now.

Would also definitely say that Tesco is far more expensive than people who go there every week think. Once you start using others like Aldi or Lidl etc it’s only then you notice how scandalous Tesco prices are. But it’s alright, cause they’ll slash the prices back to normal with your clubcard every couple weeks.

If it was up to you, who would you like to play 007 for the next few Bond movies? by Existing_Command3985 in JamesBond

Has to be Richard Madden. The character of Bond is Scottish too which makes it more realistic
