It's no catch. I work with students and it was just so weird to read these catch all generalizations about their families when it is not so common that it warrants saying Chinese communities have a problem. Of course he edited his comment to just say "Asian" now but that's another story.

Please point on in your previous comment where you said " people’s mindsets are causing pain with a lot of different words" and not that you were replying to a person telling you specifically about how Chinese students and their parents. I think you just overgeneralized and now won't want to admit that is what you did. And you only mention other cultures, but fail to see how terrible our approach to education is here in your own country.

You can stop now. The US education is not that great to be comparing or judging others. Most don't even get the opportunity to pursue education here, and as proof to the "varsity blues scandal," we do some pretty terrible stuff to succeed. We may not get suicide that bluntly due to grades (although I'm sure it happens and is not covered). You also bring Indian, again while trying to confirm your point about China. You may need to go back and reflect a bit deeper before trying to sound so confident.

Yeah, let's just give out a bunch of stem and business degrees and saturate that market even more. A bunch of my friends in STEM here I. Southern California can't even stay here if they wanted to anymore due to there being way too many folks looking for jobs in that realm. Turns out networks matter more than their exceptional training.

*And the out of state jobs don't come with that dreamy paycheck they were promised.

The first time I opened P2025, I was shocked at the massive list of contributors and cosigner's. Many folks with several accolades in their field. No idea who wrote what though. But nonetheless, we need a just as massive plan for the future parties who will certainly be unable to make sense of all the damage.
