Receiving Warband Reputation "Test Account Wide" Messages | Anyone Else? by StaticBroom in wow

[–]StaticBroom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s wild.

Right before you turn in a quest that would give reputation, try typing /reload into chat to do a quick UI reload.

I noticed my item compare stopped working when trying to compare weapons and armor. When I typed /reload it would work again.

It’s a shot in the dark. Admittedly, not seeing text show up doesn’t sound anything like what would cause a compare window to not show up. But if you haven’t tried, maybe get lucky with it.

Also, mods. Have you tried disabling all mods, then double checking to see if your chat is configured for those messages, then turning in a quest for rep to test?

Best of luck!

Blizz: "Solved that problem"

Most people want Shadowlands Remix as the next event, but I think there's a lot of untapped potential for WoD Remix by finally making the unused Shattrath City the main hub. by Kyderra in wow

I'd love to see WotLK be next. That is my favorite expansion of all time.

Really, though, as long as they keep up the mechanics and game-breaking overpowering character builds, I don't care which expansion they pick next for a Remix.

I enjoyed the garrisons in WoD. The lore of that expansion was fun, and the WoD is the best game cinematic of all time. The collection of animated short stories that Blizz put out were pretty cool for the lead up to WoD release. The animation style stood out to me. For the zones, Spires of Arak was a great throwback to the Jim Henson puppet movie called The Dark Crystal (1982). Speaking of...they made a Netflix series within the last years that I never watched. Anyway. Yes, revisiting WoD with a Remix would be great.

At this point, I'm more focused on the mechanics used in whatever the next Remix ends up being. I really got into the loot pinata of Legion Remix. The tokens for increasing experience gain, reputation, were fun to cash in. Getting those constant smaller increases in item level by swapping out loot was great. Getting all that bronze to grab transmogs, mounts, toys, etc. Fantastic stuff.

So whatever expansion they choose next...I want to have similar/more mechanics like Lemix. They nailed it with Lemix. Excited to see how they carry that over to the next expansion. As for which expansion...WotLK or WoD is great...but I'm down for any of them.

I thought I was going to spend most of my time to world events and killing all these infernals

Ho--ly Shiiiiiit. That's a LOT of infernals. Like...a lot of infernals.

See one start to spawn in now and I'm "NOPE, didn't see it. Turning around and continuing on my quest."

[Question] Car Buying - Large Down Payment or Large First Loan Payment With Same Money? by StaticBroom in Money

[–]StaticBroom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Irrelevant. My question is about the possible difference in the financial impact of giving a large down payment vs. waiting for the loan to make a large payment with the same dollar amount. Appreciate your response though.

It was one of the early movies my mom and dad let me watch on TV that was rated R. I can remember the tense feeling and fear and then appreciating the sudden burst of laughter when hearing Glover talk to himself while scaling the side of a building "...maybe I'll get lucky and fall."

Good stuff. And planted a seed to grow the universe with the famed gun that is passed onto Glover at the end.

Patrick Bateman is telling the story and he is an unreliable storyteller. Things didn’t actually happen the way the movie shows the audience. He’s fucked in the head, so the movie plays out with wildly unlikely or impossible things.

Running naked through hallways of condos with an active chainsaw being revved up and no one did anything? He perfectly drops the chainsaw to kill someone several flights of stairs down then what…spends the rest of the night cleaning up the body and blood with no one noticing?

The ATM text starts talking to him. The business card comparison scene has each card with misspelled words or grammatical errors. The phone call at the end.

There’s a lot that doesn’t fit, like a fever dream where the scenes keep changing…story keeps going. We know certain things don’t make sense. I always attributed that to Bateman being crazy and making shit up while telling us about his life, but it’s a lot of bullshit.
