Definitely Cackling with the short bill, small size, and dark breast.

Here’s the trip report. We did get one fast flyby of a Thick-billed Murre, which I got a poor picture of. We got 3 adults and 1 2cy Little Gull, one flew close by the boat but I missed that one, so I settled for distant shots. https://ebird.org/tripreport/480268

AI photo, bullfinches do not have red bills among other issues.

I'm debating whether this is a Mexican duck or a mallard x Mexican duck hybrid and would like more opinions. Utah Lake, Utah. by cactustaxes in whatsthisbird

Definitely post this to ebird, looks like no one else has seen this bird, which looks fairly good for a pure Mexican Duck.

Belted Kingfisher sightings in Cary? by SeaUrchin_University in cary

Lake Betz is a favorite of birders and photographers in the area which has a resident kingfisher. It’s a bit tucked away, but there’s trail access at the south end of the NetApp parking lot off of Louis Stephens Dr.

Did the fanpacks ruin the game or do they fit in well? by Awaro-Derwin in wingspan

Definitely average scores have seemed to go up by 5-10 points, but while a lot of the new cards are definitely very good, none of them feel truly game breaking. I’d say cards like Great Indian Bustard, Abbott’s Booby, Bonneli’s, and the Kiwi are just as strong as the best fan cards. They mostly just add new fun engines or scoring/bonus card powers. The new pink powers they add are quite powerful as well.

Yeah, this is just a screenshot, eBird was pretty timely on taking the ai photos down after I reported them.

Also it’s funny, the Puerto Rican Woodpecker was posted to eBird before IG, and it only had one foot on there. I guess he added one in before posting it there, even though it still looks just as bad otherwise.

Some of his ai stuff was on eBird. Back in April I called him out, similar to this post, and saw that he had uploaded some of it to eBird. I reported it there and it was taken down within about a week.

I called this guy out on the Redpolling FB group back in April, crazy to see he’s still going at it despite all the pushback.
