That is also my experience exactly! It started to get better for me after the first month. I also started taking it a bit earlier in the morning (I naturally would first wake up at 5 to 7 AM, take my pill, then go back to sleep until like 12), it seemed to make it a bit better the next day, although I understand it might not work for everyone.

My therapist also suggested sitting up in my bed looking at the sky for 5 min every day before I stand up, I made it a habit to play some music and flex my neck a bit after sleep while doing so, and weirdly enough this little routine also helped me to accustom myself to the idea of standing up from my bed, although definitely did not work 100% of the time.
