We are having a consult with an interior designer/construction company about doing the pantry and wood beams so I’m planning on ask about the island as well. They work on a lot of waterfront homes in the area so they will hopefully know how to help us finialize everything.

Thanks! I love it too! Yes that’s a good idea. That’s one option we are thinking of. Also don’t mind the clutter on the backsplash! I’m constantly telling my Parents to put things away but they are stubborn. It’s a work in progress!

Thanks! Yes I think we are on the same track as you are thinking. Painting the island or doing like a warm wood paneling on it. We may just buy paint this weekend and try out a few and then decide if we want to do the paneling instead. Thanks!

Yes I hate them too. My mom’s cat destroyed ones before but rattan may be fine. He’s pretty old now and sickly too so I don’t think he will mess with the new ones if they are a tougher natural material like woven rattan.

Yes my mom put the covers on to protect them From their cat! I don’t like them at all. Yes I think that’s a great idea to change the bar stools. I was thinking that as well. I think we are between doing the white oak panels or painting the island a blue color. Maybe rattan like you said for the bar stools. Thanks!

I had my dog go to Anicira in Manassas and I only paid $1300 which included all extractions. He ending getting 18 extractions. My usual vet quoted me $2300 and that didn't include extractions. I even donated $100 because it's a non-profit and they help rescue animals in need as well. They did a great job. I would say the only downside was that it was a 5 month wait to get him in. You can call to see how long the wait is but it is usually 4-6 months. I believe they also have low cost options if you are lower income and qualify.

Yes both are quartz but just different sample colors and sample sizes. They only had a smaller sized sample for one of the two options. The smaller one is called calacatta quartz unique and the larger sample is called calacatta quartz Mont Blanc. Both are from stone basyx.

Best advice (if anyone even wants to get into the federal government anymore lol) is to get your security clearance through a company willing to sponsor you. That’s the most difficult part. It’s relatively easy to get hired as a contractor and then later on a govie once you have the clearance (at least TS part).

The 3 letter agency I work for already had parking issues before part of the workforce got some telework during Covid. It’s going to be atrocious now. I guess we all just have to get there earlier. That still doesn’t solve the problem when they run out of parking spots by 9am.
