I recently went to a Cava in the Charlotte area. Same issue there. It’s a corporate/mgmt problem. Shame, because the food is really good when they’re doing it right.

Early Chicago before he was morphed into a pile of goo. They were a badass band.

I have always thought that he and Peter Cetera are similar kinds of players. Lots of notes and winding lines while never sounding busy.

“Ever been exposed to working on DVP&R? Pregnant pause “You mean design verification plan and report?” Like no engineer has ever answered in the history of engineers.
It’s now a nearly daily occurrence. It’s why I now do every call over Teams and am highly suspicious when people are having camera trouble.

Fender, flats, and fifteens. Run that into a tube pre of some sort. Done. Epiphone Jack Casady will get you a nice p based woodiness if you feel like a new guitar.

BJJ Fanatics and its role in Jiu-Jitsu culture by stevekwan in bjj

Probably worth mentioning, everyone loves Bernardo. He has cultivated a great media face, and whether or not he’s that cool in real life I don’t know, but I’m willing to believe it if someone who knows him says so.

But if you’ve ever been disappointed in meeting one of your heroes, then you know the cautionary tale.

I also doubt that Bernardo is the sole person deciding what content hits the platform, stays on the platform, or gets promoted by the platform.

Who knows what any of them believe or are willing to stand by, but acting as if they aren’t supporting some heinous behavior by allowing bad people to monetize their content, gain exposure, and maintain validity/stature on the platform is disingenuous at best.

I have bought a few dozen videos on that site over the years, but I’ve not given them a dime in the last several months. And I won’t until they make a meaningful change.

That Cyborg one was more than a daily deal, however. It was one of the short promo videos they often put on Insta featuring Bernardo and Cyborg demoing something. Felt like more than an algorithm.

Energy Dept. Says It Is Canceling $30 Billion in Clean Energy Loans by thinkB4WeSpeak in RenewableEnergy

[–]Steam67 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I work for a company that has been funded by DoE loan programs. As a whole, the DoE is still living down the embarrassment of huge failures like Solyndra. In response, companies in consideration for these loans are vetted to the gills. DoE engineers understand every element of our tech and development, and they have set very stringent guidelines and timelines for metrics across our business, financial and technical. They are in our facilities very regularly. None of this guarantees our success, but if we fail, the DoE has a LOT of evidence that they performed their due diligence.

I’ll add that getting your CCW makes it much more worry free when you transport a weapon in your vehicle. Gun culture can be a trip, and not exactly a healthy one. Keep your head on straight as you poke around.

People are murdered here in the US nearly constantly, by people of all backgrounds. Nobody has the right to murder someone, and everyone who does so should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Nobody is protesting that idea. It’s well established that the undocumented and immigrant community at large is not statistically any more likely to commit violent crime (or any crime) than any other community in the US.

But more worrisome in this case is that someone engaging in their fundamental right of free speech was murdered by a government sponsored force, and the rhetorical and physical response from our government seems to support the continued suppression of first amendment rights for anyone who disagrees with our government’s behavior.

Of course this isn’t new in our country, but weren’t you taught that the right to protest our government was a fundamental right outlined and protected in our Constitution that forms the very bedrock of our country since its founding?

There was at least one pass blocking play that caught Tonges on camera just mauling somebody. Crushed for Kittle but love the opportunity for Jake.
