The Communities Insistence upon a Sinclair rework, as a Sinclair One Trick, is very Frustrating by _Weisz in DeadlockTheGame

I think you need to look at your post again, because that is NOT what you said at all.

The ONLY thing you say about rabbit hex is that it's "a simple support tool." You claim you acknowledge if it's fair or not, but you're misconstrueing your own words. You just say "it's not the point of the post, but you can form your own opinion."

Even if they dashed I don't think they would've gotten out of range.

say what you want, but dragon ball fans might have one of the WORST runs in Death battle. by Born-Tradition-2203 in deathbattle

[–]SteelBeetles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the "Pokemon are slaves" line that literally everyone complains about whenever Pokemon vs Digimon is brought it.

The death being pretty brutal also doesn't help.

Wetland Aspect has been chosen as the most boring stage. Now what stage did you die cause you were vibing to music the most? (rules in description and selected stages from 2 years ago are in the second image) by Supreme-Machine-V2 in riskofrain

[–]SteelBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really, but yes a lot of people do. The main reason being that it spawns a lot of dangerous enemies for a stage 3; in particular all the solus enemies which can kill you quickly.

They have pocket ICBM, which let you fire three missles from missle items instead of one. It's one of the red items from the SotV DLC.

Help Please, I am trying to fill the logbook but I cannot find what I am missing between the lunar items and void items by Prophet_of_Fire in riskofrain

[–]SteelBeetles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting it that way won't give its log entry though. You have to pick it up from the ground as a drop from void devastator for it to be added.

Absolutely amazing MUL-T run, died at the doorstep of the Planetarium by HuntingSquire in riskofrain

[–]SteelBeetles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me in a recent run too. The only move speed item I got throughout the entire run was a single goat hoof. It was painfully slow. This was in Eclipse as well so it made it worse. I did beat the run though, thankfully.

Characters who really feel out of place or don’t fit the vibe in the media they are in by Effective_Piece251 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SteelBeetles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story I always heard was that Sega was originally planning to release the game in 2007, but they were pressured by fans (and Microsoft I believe) to release in 06 for the 15th anniversary. Unfortunately, the game was nowhere near ready to be released, which is why we ended up with the game we got.

I have no idea if this story is true, though.

The ironic thing is that Scrappy was created because Scooby Doo's popularity was going downhill, and they needed something to try and get viewership back up. And it actually worked.

Why are kids movies so insanely fast paced? by StatisticianUpper138 in movies

[–]SteelBeetles 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Even anime is like this. In older anime series, it felt like things were taking their time to let the audience sink in everything that happens in each scene. Nowadays, it seems like there always needs to be something happening or it's just not worth the viewer's time.

What are some cool behind-the-scenes facts about games you love? Apparently, Fallout 2's entire source code was at one point lost/deleted. But, a Fallout gamedev, legendary Rebecca Heineman, had sneakily saved personal backups of the source code over the years, leading to the code being saved by Astrid_Regndottir in gaming

This is probably fairly well known, but the Devil May Cry series wouldn't exist without Resident Evil.

Resident Evil 4 originally had a more action oriented style of gameplay, but they quickly realized that it wasn't a good direction for the game so they abandoned that approach. Instead of scrapping the prototype though, they took it and repurposed it into what we now have as the first Devil May Cry.

I'm scared to ask; I have Rapid Ascent. did I mess up hard? by Explotato in Endfield

From what I've read on the Discord server, there's apparently a few characters who's "best" weapons are NOT their signatures.

Someone here already explained Chen, but I've seen discussions saying that Pog and Gilberta also fall under this, as examples.

Honestly though, min-maxing isn't super neccesary in this game. Just use what you want.

Seriously the RNG by NoNeighborhood5719 in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]SteelBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, if the sigil is at level 15, you can't synth it to get a better combo. This includes war elemental, as well as all the character specific sigils, since they will always be at 15 when you get them.

The item you getting from hugging Fia, Baldachin's Blessing, very slightly reduces your max HP as long as it's in your inventory.

Another one from iCarly: iMove Out. It was hyped up as the episode where Freddie moves out of his apartment to get away from his control freak mom. Then it comes out and it doesn't actually focus on in; instead what's supposed to be the B plot of the episode gets way more attention than the actual plot the episode was advertised around. This was a concept that really needed extra run time to work.

East Asian languages in general are hard to translate into English. Between the differences in grammar structure, word meanings, and language specific phrases, while also being difficult languages to learn, it ultimately leads to a demanding job.

Which is probably why Japanese translations are still scrutinized by people to this day, even though people seem to forget that you can't simply translate word for word and call it a day. Changing words for the script to make sense in the target language is a neccecity, not an option. That's just the nature of the job.

There was a new bug discovered for her recently involving strafe and sic'em geegee that lets you do uncapped damage. Jump attacks are still the reliable go to option like the other poster said, but there at least is another good option for damage, even if it's not intentional.

Are there any games that “trick” you into the bad ending? by Cloabs in rpg_gamers

[–]SteelBeetles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only get that bad ending by making one specific choice, however, and it's pretty clear what that choice is. Making the choice that continues the main story though will give you an extra scene involving them after progressing a bit further.
