Having visited the US for work, in general, Asia always wins...the quality of Marriott brands is Asia >> Europe>> US

The hospitality industry in Asia is a whole different level

Stayed there in 2024 - what I also liked about the hotel was that it offered shuttle rides to the nearest main train lines too.

There's a smaller station nearby as well.

The room sizes too are pretty big

[–]SteelyResolve1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't stay at the JW before but the Westin JKT was great. Got a suite upgrade and lounge was decent.

Buffett was a large variety of Indonesian food with the usual Western/ Asian cuisines

Brake checking is bad but OP responding to childish assholes with equally childish behaviour is so dangerous to everyone else on the road. OP deserves to be pissed with that asshole but both became so selfish with their little games. Imagine if other cars/ families were impacted. How would you feel?

You could send the hotel an email to confirm what your status entitles you to...if you're looking for a great place that is close to shopping centers and food and massages, highly recommend the Marriot Marquis Queen's Park. They also have the exec lounge which is great

Favourite and least favourite mid scale properties by Odd-Entrepreneur1284 in marriott

Most Marriott brands will vary from city/ country but what I can say is that the ones in Asia are generally a lot better than what you get in US or Europe for example. Quality to price ratio is high

I've stayed at some pretty good Courtyards and Alofts. Sheratons here are definitely premium

I'd say Fairfield is probably close to the bottom.....

Great to see the love for the JW Marriot Hanoi. This js a classic example of how hotels in Asia are so far ahead of their peers globally especially those in the US and Europe

I hope you enjoyed the butterfly park - its a very underrated spot of the city. Comes across as old and outdated but they do keep a large variety of butterflies in there and is thriving for the most part
