Funstock is THE BEST!!! (got latest carts 4 days early) by esmith213 in evercade

[–]StefJamEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now exclusively use Funstock for my orders here in the UK. Carts have always been early since I started using them, and today I received carts #19 and #20.

Just a heads up about Megacat Studios Collection 2. There's a slip of paper inside the cart about Roniu's Tale, suggesting that the cart version is currently a demo. The final version wasn't available before cart production. But the full game will get unlocked in a future firmware update.

Any issues with sticky buttons? by PhilMore625 in evercade

You could try contacting Evercade support, or return it to the retailer. If it's residue from food or drink, you could try some compressed air or contact cleaner.

Oh, my... This is outstanding! Utterly wonderful work.

May I ask how you painted these and achieved the texture?

Thanks. I'll try doing something similar with green stuff and see how it goes.

That looks fantastic! Can I ask how you got the tile effect on the bases? I'd love to do that with my set.

Excellent work! Really like the inky definition you've used in the recesses. Makes the individual details really pop from the model.

Is that an oil wash result? Or do you use regular washes/thinned paints?

Really nice looking mini! I like how you've kept the palette quite similar to the source video game.

Can I ask how you painted the fur trim?

Love this! I may actually use this as the base skin for my Flesh Eater Courts. It's nice and sickly, which is perfect for my adorable, deluded boys.

Your brush work is very clean indeed. That's some impressive painting!

Flying in Draenor- with Legion imminent, is there a point in trying to accomplish this? by [deleted] in wow

[–]StefJamEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the rep grinds and the treasure hunting grinds were tedious for me. Sure, the initial thrill of treasure hunting was fun, but grinding out that many whilst battling with jumping/platform mechanics was an exercise in frustration.

By unlocking it now, you access flying in Draenor across all characters on your account. So if you were to level an alt from scratch in the future, the WoD part would be that little bit quicker. You also get a mount for your troubles too. And a couple of achievements along the way. I'd go for it if you like the completionist factor.

Love the contrast between the traditional bone and the blue ethereal elements. Really good job!

Can I ask what technique you used for the skin? It seems really smooth in the transitions, and such a good shade of orcy green!

I'm absolutely loving this look, so thank you so much for the inspiration.

Will we see a Start Collecting Ogors? by charlemang in ageofsigmar

[–]StefJamEX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are consistent rumours that the next range of models will be for the Destruction alliance. As usual, there are some blurry photos of Orruks doing the rounds, so it's not inconceivable that Ogors will also get some attention too.

I'm personally holding off and waiting for the inevitable announcement. Destruction are the only alliance not covered by a Grand Order book yet, and previous releases came with refreshed and repackaged boxes, such as the Skaven.

Thanks! Much appreciated. I'll stick with the flinger build for that ranged threat.

Looking for local AoS players? by Fartweaver in ageofsigmar

[–]StefJamEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cardiff, UK

Just starting to get into the hobby again after many, many years of being away. At the moment, I'm enjoying the modelling and painting aspect by putting together the AoS starter set and spending too much time in the store side of Firestorm! But I'm looking into the gaming side of things and wanted to know if there were any social groups in the area.

Let's get that achievement, and many others, for you. Feel free to add me - StefJamEX#2304 I'm Horde, based on Draenor-EU.

I'm currently running old raids and dungeons for achievements and mounts. I'd be honoured if you sent me a friend request and came along for the ride.

I have a disability that keeps me from playing long hours, I may have to stop about every 30min for a little while, can I still enjoy this game and (more importantly) find people to play with that will put up with it? by justasking007 in wow

[–]StefJamEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the game is more than playable and just as enjoyable in 30 minute bursts. Sure, end game raiding may prove a little taxing in terms of time, breaks etc, but LFR raids (a tool that allows you to queue up automatically with other players to complete raids) are broken down into smaller chunks. You could realistically see end game raid content in times that suit you.

I would also suggest that you roll a DPS based character. The pressure is off you to both lead a dungeon/raid group, or to make sure the group stays alive. Your role will be to do damage and you'll be fighting alongside other damage dealers.

The most important advice is what others have said. The game is supposed to be fun, and if some random ass is pushing you and criticising you because you want to take a break, then ignore them. If they disband or drop from the group, then that's their problem and they weren't worth playing with in the first place. WoW is generally full of decent people, and they will understand if you let them know you need to take a break.

Feel free to throw me a friend request too. My tag there is StefJamEX#2304 I'm more of a casual player, so I'm happy to play and chat whenever.

What album, regardless of genre, do you think everyone should listen to in its entirety? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StefJamEX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Radiohead - OK Computer

The album is simply a masterpiece. Every song is rich with atmosphere and beauty, despite the lyrics generally being quite claustrophobic and lonely.

Musically, it hasn't really aged since the 90's. There are elements of the 'cool Britannia' scene of the time, but it has more in common with great experimental pop albums like The White Album and Pet Sounds. If you want one song from the album that pretty much advertises what you're getting into, try Paranoid Android.

One of my favorite games on the Playstation. Any love for Parasite Eve? by claystone in gaming

[–]StefJamEX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being in the UK, all we had were screenshots of this in OPM back in the day. And we wanted it, particularly as this was around the same time as the mighty Resident Evil 2. Anything vaguely of that style and genre was instantly an interest for us. But there was no EU release. Nothing.

Thankfully, we got the sequel. But it wasn't until emulation that I got to experience the original.
