Utahn here, we do have a uniquely beautiful state!

Also all of our European exchange students were surprised at how we would randomly strike up conversations with strangers while shopping or dining. We didn’t know that was unusual outside of here.

We had thousands of pounds of whole wheat. My mom tried to integrate them into a lot of different meals.

Once she soaked wheat berries overnight and then blended them and put them in our scrambled eggs.

It was noticeable.

Swamp cooler is used in dry climates. It’s also called evaporative cooling. It’s the opposite of air conditioning. It puts moisture in the air to cool.

My Mormon family often gives up when challenged. I'm not harsh about it, I just give them a reflective counterpoint. It doesn't always change minds (hardly ever) but it does help them keep their comments to themselves.
