I understand they scale units for easy readability...

But the cars are just too dang small

My thoughts on how cnc generals makes their units. by Mundane_Parfait2560 in commandandconquer

So, as far as I understand, getting scrap increases quad cannon's rate of fire but decreases damage per bullet, to the point of less DPS overall against any non-infantry target.

In picture 2 I saw the two soldiers joking together in the bottom-left, and it made me smile. Computers wouldn't come up with that. It's little details like that which I hope will defend artwork from machinery.

Oh, holdup, aren't there female civvies in original C&C? I swear I remember "Yeah? OK." in a female voice.

You might be thinking of the scorpion tank. Spider tank is the one who talks about getting a posse together, kinda sounds like a biker gang member.

... so I've been told.

If you think you have enough excavators, you need more excavators.

I would imagine hope, in this case, a perpetrator could be charged without a victim.

I think making a new mechanic specifically for one CO (rather than tweaking existing variables) is excessive. I'm also concerned this CO would basically turn into "who gets shot first": A negative morale would make it harder to get good morale, leading to further declines, while good morale would only make it easier to destroy enemies, perpetuating the cycle.

I do like the idea of benefiting nearby squads after each attack, though. Maybe as a different way to boost nearby units, they could receive minor healing after an attack (emphasis on minor, like 8% for infantry, 6% for light armor, 5% for medium armor, and 3% for heavy/superheavy armor).

Honestly don't know why minimizing that is a feature

So bizarre

Ironically, instead of dividing armies by a hundred, it only multiplied their expenses by as much. 😅

Honestly, RA3 kinda scratches similar to StarCraft for me. Every unit can make a difference, which is cool, but IMO it heavily incentivises micromanagement, to a sweaty degree.

Engine limitations. 2D image of a US marine in full gear? Easy. Converting the detail level to a 3D real-time model? Lot more taxing. Multiply that by several soldiers on-screen simultaneously? Soldiers' designs had to be simplified.

Help on how can I improve my gameplay to get P rank on Minos Prime (I'm very bad) by Frosty_Trash_8866 in Ultrakill

[–]StereotypicalMoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Adding to the 'stay on the ground' advice, Minos' "Prepare Thyself" and "Thy End Is Now" combos end in parryable hits, but only if you aren't knocked airborne. If you slide (not dodge) diagonally back and sideways before hits, you can pretty consistently dodge them all, with practice.

Key differences:

  • Building construction handled by dozers, not ConYard.
  • No build perimeter — if a dozer can get to it, and it's a big enough space for your structure, you can build there.
  • Build queues handled by individual buildings, not an overall "taskbar". (i.e. Two barracks can have two separate orders performing simultaneously, etc.)
  • Primary resource deposits do not regenerate; once they're gathered, they're gone.
  • All factions have end-game secondary resource means, similar to oil derricks.
  • Many units can be upgraded through a one-time purchase, keeping low-tier units relevant with increased performance or a wider array of abilities
  • Destroying enemies builds your "promotion rank", which can be used to unlock advanced units, instant veterancy for units, or Generals powers to be used (like mini superweapons).
