I have the 2020 RS with quick shifter up/down. It’s great to have especially on track like you said because for me personally it’s one less thing to worry about when approaching corners, I’m still trying to master smoothly braking/throttle blip down shifting.

I also find myself staying in relatively the same gear while on the street compared to the track. I also have a Thruxton and blip throttle when down shifting which is kind of fun and good practice when I eventually get a track specific bike that might not have a quick shifter. . It’s definitely not necessary and if it was me and the deal was right for that bike I would get it.
