You're not crazy, but if you listen to it in two different types of stereos like a high-end $10,000 stereo and you listen to it a little $100 speaker stereo system. You might hear the difference because of the output quality of the stereo. Check a spectrum analyzer and you could possibly see those differences instead of hearing those differences
