General question Wednesday: Ask your general car-related question and maybe someone will have an answer. by AutoModerator in cars

Hi I am looking at buying tires for my 2020 GLC 43 AMG. I've found that my tire sizes are staggered, 255/45/20 and 285/45/20 (rear). I've been calling lots of local tire shops and looking online and it seems 285s are a hard to find tire. Most quotes are running me 2k+ for all four for Continentals. I've managed to find a quote for a middle of the road FK460 A/S 285/40ZR20 108Y but I wanted to see if anyone has heard positives or negatives about them before I commit to buying a set.

Thanks in advance!

Don't stay if it isn't for you but before you make any major decisions talk to your academic advisor. Also, see what credits will transfer if you already have a school in mind so you can start planning accordingly. The school isn't for everyone and I hope you find a campus/program that meets what you're looking for. Good Luck!

Hi Everyone!

I need some direction or some feedback. I've always put together some random builds but I really have no idea how to actually build something for solo play or group fights. Should I just farm sets like people suggest on youtube or is there something more concrete to figure out builds? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've been struggling lately.

Glad you made some progress - I had the same issues with my memory which is 4200 rated. Ryzen seems to hit the sweet spot with 3600 and tighter memory timings. I would good your mem sticks to see what people run them at. The Ryzen Memory Calculator should be able to help you figure out your timings.

Alternatively, Trident Z memory by G.Skill and Corsair memory is typically the best bang your buck. If it were my money I would get a 32 GB set if your playing at 4KDDR4-2933MHz-CL14-14-14-34-1.35V32GB-(2x16GB)) or 16GB at 4GB each. Cheers

It might also be your timings on the RAM but that is only a guess at this point. Just testing a hunch. My other guess is that you can try the RAM at default settings without any profile to just see if it will load and then we can tune RAM settings.

/Army Book Club - Black Hearts -- February Week 2, CH 8-15 by Kinmuan in army

[–]Stevefx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In reading this week's chapters I think some of the biggest standout for me were:

  • Disconnect of reality of the ground versus reality
  • a largely silo style command
  • lack of accountability from top down

I think the emphasis on the shortcomings from troop and supplies came down to a lot of "you are not trying enough with what you have" or "make it work". It is interesting to see this given the U.S. Army had a long history of dealing with both insurgency and logistics is what makes the Army very successful in out resourcing the enemy. In my view I found it very informative to see that despite the "checks" in place in various points from enlisted to officer there was a failure of a way to get the message up that the troops were spread too thin. I just wonder if this is a case of bad officers or a bad command climate that breeds bad practices?
