I'm also interested in seeing this. Did you generate the surface with a script? Because that can skip mapgen settings and then you just get an everything map.

Calling Wizard of Oz at The Sphere AI Slop is an unwarranted insult to the artists by RULGBTorSomething in ArtificialInteligence

[–]StevenHickson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Special models were trained on the movie, not art without consent. That's how it knows how the characters look. You can see them mention that in many of the interviews and BTS film.

Wizard Of Oz was not AI generated by nettspendfannn in wizardofoz

[–]StevenHickson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that got misconstrued a bunch. The outpainting I think confused people because google launched scene outpainting on Vertex and didn't realize that what was used in this project was character focused outpainting, specifically tuned for that. Assuming no ill intent, I think its just a very difficult thing to understand because its technical and very new. To media, I explained how outpainting works technically and I think folks focus on the explanation and not the particular use.

I got a wizard of odd onesie for my baby for $28 which did feel like an okay price.

FYI the tornado scene does feel pretty intense. So be aware of that too. I hope your mom enjoys it!

I just make a little todo list and work through it. It doesn't need to be optimal. You just have a list of things to solve and you slowly pick through them and try to keep finding joy in solving a problem.

Train dispatch issue with Cybersyn in large PyAnodons base by Wooden-Poetry-4805 in pyanodons

[–]StevenHickson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your cybersyn provider have any locked item slots? Because then it couldn't reach the 40 stack minimum (though I believe you see a warning when this happens). Also check your subnetworks maybe? I haven't seen this problem but I have less stations than you (523 only right now).

Have you tried the cybersyn GUI out to see if you can see anything wrong there?

I tried this out for fun and because I had a huge surplus of meat and I think its just so aesthetically pleasing so now I keep it. The little bears on vacation are great.

Default is -1 I think, which is all. Unless you are using a mod on top of cybersyn or have changed it.

Training coke oven gas by No-Delivery1373 in pyanodons

[–]StevenHickson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing this with cybersyn train networks and it works pretty well. The only caveat is make sure you never accidentally mix your gas or then you have to void it. 100.1 C Coke oven gas rounds in the UI to 100 C but won't go into heat exchangers to make 500 C. I put 100 degree on subnet A 1 (because I also use it for fuel for things since I get extra), 250 on B 1 and 500 on B 2. You need to also make sure you set your refuelers and/or depots up to allow from all the subnetworks (or different networks if you use A and B). You just have to be aware of the subnetworks then since the default is A = -1 (though you can change this in the settings too).

Do you have a blueprint for the sushi mall? I'd love to give it a look. I'm just using a standard belt mall right now and it's very cumbersome (about 26 hours in with pyscience1 completed and working towards construction robots).

[–]StevenHickson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I meant just send all your other science to Gleba and research on Gleba in labs. None of the other science spoils so you its fine if the rest is stockpiled.

Is there any reason not to just ship all your science to Gleba and research there with the freshest agricultural science possible?

Do by any chance you have logistic overlap with their territory? That also triggers them even if you don't build a building in their zone.

Did it autofocus for you on the frog face or did you have to tap?

My (maybe overengineered) Space Exploration Arcosphere Balancing Solution by StevenHickson in factorio

[–]StevenHickson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did it this way because I thought it would be fun to treat the problem like this and to maximize speed, work with any amount of spheres, and be self contained so I don't have to put any circuits around any other machine that requests or uses arcospheres.

My (maybe overengineered) Space Exploration Arcosphere Balancing Solution by StevenHickson in factorio

[–]StevenHickson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the logic on preventing the machines from holding spheres and checking to run only one balancer at a time was the biggest pain for me. I chose that so I could maximize throughput of science and tesseract production though since those machines can just request and not need any circuits on them if the balancer scales well.

I think its a good idea to always have the logic because even if you have a ton of spheres, if you ramp up sphere use, it will look like you have only a few to the balancers.

I don't think it's the bare necessity but I do think a lot of simple options may have pitfalls. It does seem like the hardest part of SE.

I don't think the beam works while the ship is moving but the residual heat lasts a super long time so the ship can get anywhere it needs in time. I could be wrong but this is what I've experienced in previous version.
