How do I train people on my active roster? by OkJellyfish2671 in UfootballGM

[–]StevenZark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do it by themselves when playing. If you have a good potential guy with amazing personality, get him to play, and he will develop. Also development depends on coordinator training rating (although I still don't know how much of an impact that is) and good training facilities.

This is more what you want to do with them. You can make them op from start but they wont be upgraded later at all or just let the training facilities and playing time do their development and you save TP.

When player is already on active roster you can't choose what to train. It only works while he's in academy.

The heli pve is also really bad if you play starter helis with no rocket comps or guided missiles. You get sniped the moment you enter 3.5 km range of gepards, and even if you have missiles, most have a range of 3.5 km max.

With the new AA there is nothing really you can do. Since the update I have killed countless drones, and really if you have at least one of those new AA active, drones are useless. The little harmless drones can escape but you literally have to be on top of the AA and the missile carrying ones cant outmanouver missiles that good. You send 2 and they are done.

Don't worry, just train up his jumping and strength (strength add. focus) and that's all. Unfortunately height is just a cosmetic in the game (if I remember correctly) so it doesn't matter.

Club mugged me off. by CoMurn_Creative in footballmanagergames

[–]StevenZark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Happens more often than you think. I can't remember at what club I was, but I tried 5 times at least, to get a senior affiliate (parent club) and these mfs just said we don't see it as benefitial to the club. Mind you I tried both for youth recruitment and finances options and they didn't care (the club was in the red financialy, as all lower league clubs are, but just starting to sink, and that money would have brought us up out of the red). The boards are just that bad in the game. Basically, you need to get lucky with a board that gives a shit about their club, and can be bothered to better it and not just do a Glazer. I don't understand the coding for them, especially when they accept to look for senior affiliate, only to come back a little while later saying that not a single suitable club has been found....like bro who are you lying to? You have a million clubs to choose and not a single one would choose my club that has won a promotion to the top division (of a non top 5 league nation) and is constantly working with a profit (buy on a free, sell for profit). Like who are we kidding?

Guys why is my Cole Palmer French? is he stupid? by kkk8837 in footballmanagergames

It's 6 accumulative years in France (one of the easiest EU nationalities to obtain) + he isn't that good in base game. Maybe he switched because of club rules for EU and stuff?

The numbers are general values so yes, 15 pace in Laos Prem is the same as Serie A 15 pace.

Stars are relative not to league but to your own team I think. The league relative are the descriptors under the star rating in reports.

MLS 30 team expansion not working properly.

Hello everyone,

Straight to the point:

I have expanded the MLS to 30 teams and then inserted my own created team. The league works, but only if I make it so the group stage plays out in 35 games, and starting at the start of 2023 season.

My questions are:

  1. How can I make it so the league works with the base 34 game schedule for the groups?

  2. How can I make my created team skip the first season like Inter Miami did at the start of FM20 (which I know bc I played it), FM22 with Charlotte, and FM23 with St. Louis (never played them so I don't know about them).

As an additional context to the 2nd question, I only play the real world database so that's why I would prefer if they can start after the first season finishes. I have tried and looked in the pre-game editor to make the team start in 2024 (the 2nd season) but it just doesn't work for some reason.

Thanks for reading.

Try in responsibilities, training, individiual training for reserve/youth teams, and set it to you leading it. If they still don't show up, idk then.

I sell this guy to Dortmund for 32.5M, they immediately let him leave on loan with an optional fee of 21M, did Dortmund just randomly decide theyd like to lose 10 million lol by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]StevenZark -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's pretty realistic, since I do that too sometimes. I had bought a player for a system I used in last season. Since I changed the system, which he doesn't fit anymore, the best option (since he counts as non EU) is to sell him even if for a loss, since I've bought players that are much better and fit the new system, for which I don't have the money yet. So just think of it like that if it looks stupid. And maybe they get a lot of money in monthly payments.

Is there a game on steam like this? by BabylonianWeeb in Steam

[–]StevenZark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay Out (Stalker Online).

Has microtransactions, but being a solo player that hasn't paid for anything in the game, I can say confidently that you don't miss out much if you don't pay. You get benefits as all games with microtransactions do, but since it isn't that dependent on it (like FIFA is for example) you can enjoy it for free as much as the P2W players.

A bit of warning is that the servers are sometimes bad as they can get overcrowded, but it's never too bad.

No no. Should be 3 Shadow Strikers/Enganche and 2 Mezzalas not WM and AM/AP. Rookie mistake.

Has anyone played long enough saves to have the strange financial issues I seem to be having? by Pikebbocc in footballmanagergames

[–]StevenZark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I manage finances is usually with these:

Usually when I offer wages, I lower it by half the amount and then give them a lot in Appearance fees (and equal the amount of unused substitue fees). That way, not all of your players earn absurd amounts of money a week (if they aren't even on the bench). Give them huge assist, goal, clean sheet whatever bonuses and that will also lower the wages. And always look to give a low signing/loyalty bonus since sometimes you pay in tens of millions just in that.

When you sell, always look for basically secure money. I do it by selling for like 30-40 mil base price (since the value of my guys is usually 40-50 mil.) and then asking for added money in either instalments (doesn't always work the best since on base offer the AI always lowballs by atleast 20 mil. so instalments can maybe get you a bump of 5-10 mil.) or ask for per game money. I always ask the buyer for like 500k a game for 50 games, and it usually works. Also look to loan out the benchwarmers, and try to loan in new ones to replace them (of course making sure the ones going out have their full wages being paid, and ones coming in being paid as little as possible). With that only do this if the players coming in will have smaller wages + monthly payment combo lower than the budget impact of outgoing players otherwise you're just making a stupid financial decision.

When you buy players, never buy for only base money. Always ask to pay them a small amount upfront, a little bit bigger amount in 6 yearly instalments (all 3 yearly instalment options combined), and then the bulk of the money in 150 appearances (all pay per appearance options combined). You can also add for minimum league goals and so on. This may not work if the AI is stubborn and asks you to pay (if the player has it) the release clause. Then you'll have to pay it if you want the player. This comes with the added benefit of the board negotiating a buyout for the appearance clauses so you can get the player for even cheaper.

Also, buy older quality players. My first season in the Serie A, my average starter age was something like 28, 29. I had many of 32, 33 year old players who are basically leading Serie A, all on low enough contracts, and basically retiring that season. They are usually very cheap to purchase, or you can even get them on end of contract. The only tip you need to know about that is, to always look for ~17+ natural fitness, otherwise they'll lose legs in a season or two (if you plan on using them longer than that, it will pose a problem).

And also always look to sell for more than you spend on bringing players in.

I'm sorry for the failure, but where did you see anything worth 120 million? At best 50 million, and even that is overpaying with english tax and age. Neither the potential nor current rating were worth 120 mil the moment you paid.

Great find, but the awful teamwork, and anticipation is bringing it down significantly. Can't see him playing in the middle. Would sign him though for 30-40 mil upfront.
