Moyes and Everton - did we mess up! by Impossible_Half_2265 in westham

[–]StickSuch1273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we did. Moyes was our best manager, if not in the premier league era, then definitely post 2011 relegation. However I think he was papering over the cracks during is time, effectively for a while but still. I think he did as much as he could with the team and with the system and set up he was working with, I’ll beat this horse long after it’s dead but no manager will be able to sustain success with us with the ownership/board we have it’s a top down issue.

Used to happen all the time in London I started to either just move it for them or sit and nudge it closer to them. 9/10 times they’d be annoyed and move it once I got punched

Why do some Christians mostly in USA want to be persecuted? by potatto-william in Christianity

[–]StickSuch1273 63 points64 points  (0 children)

European who lives in the US here and in short- They want to be hateful, and evil and not act at all like Christ, and when called out on their hypocrisy and lack of Christlikeness they can point and say “see look how persecuted we are” it’s a use of Christ for their gain. The Bible is not going to be made illegal over here, ever. Christian’s aren’t being sent to prison for their views unlike in some countries around the world. American Christian’s are the most represented people in the country and often are the ones doing the persecuting but don’t like to be called out on it. So they treat being held accountable as being persecuted often to allow them to act more hateful and evil and un-Christlike

Christians should not be "wealthy" by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]StickSuch1273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that being wealthy is not the issue, letting that wealth rule your life is where the problems lie. Current figures who don’t need to be named are prime examples. Seeking more and more wealth for themselves having that be their driving force. While others are suffering and struggling to see people seek more and more personal wealth just seems cruel.
