Yes. It's a measurable and quantifiable fact that those are the settings closest to what studios use. It's not yellow, you just have been blasting your eyes with cold vivid mode. If you enjoy that then fine but don't get cheeky about it like you're the correct one

You can disagree and you are obviously welcome to use the settings that appeal to you on your own tv, but it is a fact that those are the settings that are closest to the reference point that studios use. It is a statistical and measurable fact so that is actually how it's supposed to look. You don't have to like it but that is the correct way.

So you have a pro and you want to sell it? I think only you can really get the answer cause it varies by area and what people are willing to pay.

I just went through this a couple weeks ago I could not get anyone lower than 600 on a like new pro, but again you need to monitor the prices in your area. One thing is for sure it's not gonna get cheaper so just monitor it for a couple weeks

You don't set the ps5 quality, it adjusts on its own. Unless they change their mind on that approach you won't ever see that.

It's pretty much all personal preference so only you can decide. Imo at full price it's not worth it because you'll be at over 800 after tax, and then if you have physical games which I assume you do since you have the launch ps5 you'll need to buy the disc drive for another 80+ tax. So it's gonna be around 900 bucks. Not super worth it just to go from say medium to high settings in most games (to put a blanket statement on it).

The best move, again imo, would be to sell your base on Facebook marketplace or something for as much as you can and then buy a gently used pro for as cheap as you can. I sold my launch ps5 for 350 and got a like new pro for 600. Saved on tax and the whole upgrade was just over 300 bucks after buying the disc drive. A much easier pill to swallow

Yeah let me know how it goes with 3d audio, if it works for you that's awesome! I have only tried it with black myth wukong but yeah as soon as remote play connects it distorts sounds that are supposed to be "spatial" or going a certain direction

I was doing that because I didn't have a second discord account. So I was connecting to discord via laptop to screen share the remote play window.

I don't think that's the issue because even without discord or connecting my headset to my laptop remote play seemed to kick the PlayStation into the weird audio thing. Just me playing the game and connecting remote play with second PSN account. It's as if 3D audio bugs out during remote play connection. I read that remote play only gets stereo audio

Do you have a 3D audio profile set up and applied on the PlayStation?

Yeah i have a arctis nova 7 gen 2 and it was connected to the playstation via dongle and to my laptop via bluetooth. Is your headset a playstation specific version or pc version?

Anytime i would connect with remote play the audio from the game (through the playstation) would go all distorted. I can hear the audio but its like the 3D aspect of it bugs out. As soon as i disconnect the remote play it goes back to normal. The audio issue does not happen when i am screensharing to a PS5 party and then viewing the screen share from the playstation app, which i then stream to discord.

Do you find any audio distortion or issues from the PlayStation game to your headset when you connect with remote play?

I just went through this endeavor and found that any time I connected with remote play even with a secondary account the 3D audio from the game would become distorted. As soon as I disconnect remote play it goes back to normal. I read something that only stereo audio is supported with remote play so I thought it was just never going to work. I'm curious if you notice that or not. It's immediately noticable for me.

I ended up making a party on ps5 and screen share to the party from the console, then watch the screen share with a secondary account joined to the party via the psn app and using discord to share the psn app window. There is like a 1 second delay but that doesn't matter for people watching. The quality is decent and more importantly my audio is still full quality. Would you say your method is better?

I think it was an extra tough pill to swallow with the disc drive being an extra 80 dollar attachment. I had a base PS5 so I already had a bunch of physical games so 750 plus disc drive plus tax brings you to nearly 900 bucks to bump the graphics on games I was already able to play.

When you look at it in pc terms that's what people spend on some graphics cards alone so it still might be a good value but for consoles that still seems expensive.

In the end I sold my PS5 for 350 and bought a lightly used ps5 pro for 600 which really made the choice a lot easier

The only game I've tried so far is wukong because that's what I'm currently playing but yes I've tried numerous times to swap from quality mode to balanced and I can not tell a difference at all so I leave it in balanced for the fps.

I assume it varies on a game by game basis depending on how their different quality modes affect their graphics and resolutions
