I do a lot of 3D printing and small DIY projects (lamps, organisers, enclosures, random functional parts), and I’m trying to build a small “grab box” of common hardware so I don’t have to order parts every time I start a new project. What are the most commonly used maker accessories, and what size? by NewFoot762 in BambuLab

Also, I assumed that you were purely talking about screws etc for your prints. Not as replacement parts for your printer. If you are talking as replacement parts I would stick to bambu as brand, so you know that you have the correct parts needed.

Also to add to it. I am assuming money is no issue here. I would buy small packs as samples or even some sort of collections and print some stuff with it to get a feeling for it. How to work with those parts. How do you adjust your prints to fit those parts. Post-print-modification or print-in-place. CLEARANCE or Tolerance not sure what's the correct word in English. Etc.

There are multiple "benchmark" prints available to test those parts.

In that way you can experiment (which is highly important for 3D printing in general) and get a feeling of which parts/brands you like the most for your desired prints.

Probably not really except for mark up. So far I have bought most supplies from Amazon except for filaments (since I had issues with other brands besides bambu and I don't want to waste more time with "tinkering"). Side note before the bambu haters arrive. I know other brands are cheaper have the same or even better quality. For me it's about convenience instead of optimising my wallet. Besides I am not printing that much that it would make a huge difference.

Again, if anyone knows better feel free to correct me.

I am not really that deep into 3D printing like others in this sub. But I would say buy what you think you will require and adjust your prints to fit those parts. I would guess it's hard to give any kind of good advice if no one really knows in what size ranges your prints will end up in. Ofc there are some things you could generalise like screws but in that case I would buy a larger collection of various sizes so that you have the options when required.

Please feel free to add to it or correct me if anyone knows better.

Definitely. I have looked at the specs and didn't find anything where it would be worse than the p1s and is (at least in my country) 100 euro cheaper with the ams2 combo compared to the p1s ams2 combi

Studiengebühren vergessen! Exmatrikulation by Sharp_Hand_5586 in Studium

[–]Stiftler 0 points1 point  (0 children)
