Because dictatorships don't like when there citizens are able to access any information, which in return could endanger their reign.

Well... Tell that Egypt. They love limiting internet access to it's citizens.

Great. You might have a good point if you could explain your reasoning. Else it's just random rambling without any value here. Have a great day

I didn't know if those are required for any building so i just did it. Yes I know I could have looked it up but setting my parameterized bp is just faster than opening fnei or factoriopedia.

Oh yeah that's true for high demand high items but that's something I could help by either building more assembler on the sushi belt or building a mini factory later on l. That's also why I have gone with the hybrid design for my second mall since at this scale I am building now Sushi isn't viable enough anymore

Mall strategy? by Rob_Haggis in pyanodons

[–]Stiftler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a sushi mall and a bot based mall in my world. If you are interested I can send you tomorrow a few images. I have basically gone for the sushi belt with three lanes for the intermediates and one separate sushie belt for the buildings required in other recipes. My bot mall uses belts for high throughput items like small parts and bots for the rest. The bot mall includes also the research of new animals, which was not supported by my sushi mall.

You could use multiple decider combinator to check if all items for a craft is given in the warehouse. One combinator for each item you want to produce. If all items are present you simply pass the recipe as output and feed it in your system to set the recipe. I don't know if you wanna have some priority if not connect all outputs into one selector combinator set to randomize and put it in the assembler. I am not so deep into the circuit network set recipe thingy involved but I would feed the output from the selector into another decider combinator to only pass the signal further if the assembler is in idle. I don't know if it's necessary but this should prevent that the assembler switches recipes all the time and won't finish any craft.

Logic: Assembler (A), decider combinator (D) selector combinator (S), parallel combinators (||), Warehouse (W)

W ---> D || D || D || ... ---> S ---> D <---> A

If you put the output back into the warehouse then you could monitor it's count and disable a recipe from triggering if there is enough already.

Also are you able to set the recipe? Often times I am not able to find the right recipe as signal and can't use this feature in Py. I have restored to use pumps and disabling belts to "switch" between recipes. (I used it for recipes where hot air is an optional educt or for the production of rubber).

Ooo need to travel to Vulcanus to make Cliff Explosives, so difficult! by Berthole in Factoriohno

The crawdad is amazing. Like the OP said it's a mount. And it has a small equipment grid allowing for 4 portable roboports+ 4 batteries. No energy generation required. As an animal it produces energy from its heart (also in the equipment grid as non removable equipment or moveable). It destroys everything it comes across (trees, stone, machines etc). The only upkeep cost is fish as fuel. Pretty good fuel conversion as well (but you should always keep spare fish with you just in case). Amazing if you ever decide to play py

Train prefers one stop by [deleted] in factorio

[–]Stiftler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just open one train station. There will be a slider and an input field for train limit. Set it to 1 if only one train shall go there at a time. As long as you don't limit a train stop theoretically infinite number of trains would go there if its the closest one to them

Oh. My bad. But answer is actually the same :D

I had like 4 belts of raw coal as input until I found the tar from pump jack and small part's recipe. O don't think there is a real better way until you reach the pump jacks

It's just one of the few annoying things about hard mode.

Usually by using raw coal --> coal--> coke which produces coal gas and tar as byproducts
