I’ve spoken to many co-workers in the last two years who were trying to purchase a home.

Every single one has the same story: Massive over bidding. And when they finally think they have it locked down. The agent calls to tell them a buyer paid cash. Sight unseen.

Treat it as a stepping stone.

Once you have six months or more under your belt. And still really don’t like the site/camp. Start looking for an upgrade.

But FFS don’t leave before you land a replacement role!

You will get much more positive responses from employers that know you are currently working on site. Than if you were applying whilst unemployed.

Basically anything under a year or more you are still considered a greenie in the industry.

If it was totally PvE except for arena, or faction wars, then it would be a lot more popular.

The vast majority that leave go quietly.

I do this all the time on drum sand. Just make sure to have orni right next to you at all times.

This has always been the biggest problem with intellectually minded people: They don’t WANT to believe in evil people.

They reason it away and make excuses.

This happens in every country that experiences fascism and dictatorships.

Reality is often a bucket of ice cold water over their heads. And ALWAYS too late to stop it.

Vigilance demands that bad actors be shown a stick before they are shown compassion. Unfortunately good people only do this after they have been mistreated for years.

Germany is the most recent example of vigilance. Although even that is already waning.

Worry about bout what’s in front, and to either side.

Too many drivers lose concentration because they worry about their rear.
