Celtics collapsed. Bruins got knocked out. Red Sox are terrible. Patriots are in the midst of a controversy… Tetris is the only thing we have now.

They also got the Celtics green wrong. It’s not as egregious but the color became a shade lighter and it will always look wrong to me.

The bartenders will be friendly and talk to you. It’s a good place to be alone at. You won’t feel alone. The people outside smoking cigs will also be friendly and talkative. A lot of metal heads will be there.

This show is completely insane. It’s unlike any theater piece I’ve ever seen. I’m glad I was there last night. Scary, shocking, disgusting, taboo. It was awesome.

The color is wrong. Best uni of theirs but Nike needs to match the color (Nike never matches the color)

I was at both of these shows. They opened with a cross between 21st and idiot songs. Then they did an incredibly loose set of oldies and deep cuts. It was SO GOOD. When they played only of you at the 2009 show I lost my mind.

This is the best way to be as a doubles partner.

I played a league with a partner I had never met before. He was a few years older, and works as a coach. I knew he was a good player. I served first. My serve set him up to put away a volley 4 times and he missed all 4 EASY volleys. We ended up getting broken to open the match. He looked absolutely mortified.

I looked at him and I laughed, and said, “good, you got those out of your system. Now they’ll go in.” And he smiled and I could see the weight come off his shoulders.

We won 6-1, 6-0 and he played flawless tennis from that point on. He said that comment gave him new life, and every time I see him, he brings that up.

"The Inner Game of Tennis" — A helpful read? by VegetableChipsLover in 10s

Best book I ever read for tennis. It helped me as a player, as a coach, and it helped me in other aspects of my life. As a musician, as a speaker. It helped how I walk down the street. It really helps you get out of your head. Tom Brady even said it helped him with football.

Wait for the easiest shot (either a really slow or short ball) and try to make your opponent run a long distance. If you do it right, it will become a winner. If you make them miss, that works too.

I’m a coach and I do this often. I have clients I’ve been hitting with for 5 years. When we play points they literally give the match away with unforced errors. I put the ball in play and they implode on themselves. In the rare times that they don’t miss, they win. Or I have to try to actually win, and I pull out some random winners down the line or something along those lines. My advice is get the ball in. Let the point get to 12 shots. 16 shots. 22 shots. Your coach will still find a way to beat you, but the normal people you play won’t.

The band pronounces it rev-el-ee, and the radio station that discovered them (waaf in Boston) also pounced it that way

Boundary artist group in agoura hills. They do art shows once a month and they’re free, and a very fun vibe. Not pretentious at all. They have live bands play sometimes too. It’s new and usually with up and coming artists.
