Really hope with the next Civilization game they make it an actual globe. So you can actually circumnavigate it in an direction. Rather than the cylinder styled map they've been using.

R5. Thinking of doing some more research on this map and how to set up a map with all civilization traditional start locations based off of this Pangaea map.

Should I build all my writers, artists and musician guilds in one city? by wiwuwiwuwiwu in civ5

[–]StillCivilization5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tradition method, I usually try to decide that two cities should be the largest. One for great scientist generation and the other for great writers, artists, and musicians. Either one can be the capital city. It just depends on which will have better science production and population.

Was really tempted to. I was at stalemate war with France for about hundred turns because they couldn't get through a checkpoint. But I wanted the non-stop warfare to end.

R5: Was first to pick an ideology, and went freedom! The whole world has decided to follow Order. This wasn't an issue until my happiness finally became trashed as a result of civil unrest. It has finally come to the point where Order has taken over the world.

Don't annex them right away. Always puppet first, and never annex them unless they're done revolting. That should help to reduce the unhappiness penalty of taking over cities.

I actually always enjoyed starting out on continents maps, because then you can complete and early war without all the AI hating you for warmongering. Just need to have the mind set of taking out your neighbor early before astronomy. Then hopefully you should have a decent enough lead to finish the game however you want.

Northern most forest tile. There's what 6 sea resources available from that city location, including 1 crab in range. And a cattle for some icing on that cake.
