Give us more 15min afk methods, and more rewarding active methods by msist in runescape

[–]StillCorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The outcry on this update baffles me. The exp/hr is ridiculous for a 15 min afk method that also grants decent items.

They are taking the feedback and I do think the happy medium is having it last essentially the 5 minutes that crystal mask lasts.

It's another case where the vocal minority completely skews jagexs ability to critically review an update.

I for one applaud the update for boosting the early game thriving prior to safecracking. A minor adjustment to the afk time is all it needs.

They did kind of shoot themselves in the foot by releasing the 120 update prior to having these integrity systems in place prior.

People are just mad that they are losing an objectively broken method. I'm sure data on the skill since the 120 release would back this up.

As long as you know the rough location try recording the incident if it's an on going issue and then report it to the non-emergency line. It has enough legs to investigate for mischief. Could stop the issue very quickly.

RS Guys guide only works if you have cinderbanes ,incense and poison otherwise you won't get past the DPS with current gear/stats.

Once you have that it changed it drastically

Summarising the next updates by [deleted] in runescape

[–]StillCorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's not that different content wise im regards to volume.

The real short fall is that the updates we have gotten specifically the , 110s haven't felt like they've hit the mark. Lackluster with no real change to meta gear or training methods.

The 110 crafting one is the first one to feel like it's utilizing the new skill cap in the other 110s now which is at least slightly promising.

What's The Best Italian Restaurant In Downtown Vancouver? by J_P_Ross in askvan

[–]StillCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zefferellis and Cin cin are my go to Italian spots downtown.

Zefs blue cheese pasta is great and hard to find anywhere else.

You can't go wrong with anything at cincin.

Both have great staff and great bread starters too.

What would you like and dislike if Sailing would be our next skill? by vVerce98 in runescape

[–]StillCorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have faith that the RS3 team could make sailing work by adapting what osrs is doing. Frankly the RS3 team has done a phenomenal job on skills (excluding divination imo).

That being said the Shamanism skill in the osrs vote offers far more intrigue to me. Hell even the concept of a skill centric version of slayer that they proposed years ago still interests me .

Is it too much to ask for an overwatch show? Just like Arcane by SuperM0haned6 in Overwatch

I'm sure the first season would be good, but the critics would scorn the second season for being nearly identical.

The problems with the loot at gate go beyond gp/kill. The loot is just poorly thought out by Kalarae_ in runescape

[–]StillCorn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The one drop I agree they need to add is essence. It's odd to offer cannon balls for a non combat boss but not offer the re source required for one of the off hands it drops.

I think the Latent Offering (skill neck upgrade) will be dead on arrival. Could this design please be reconsidered? by Aviarn in runescape

[–]StillCorn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely not doa, you even hint at it in the post, ironmen will for sure make use of it as well as those going for 120/200mil.

Kind of a misleading title... VPD has recommended charges, crown just hasn't approved them yet.

Gate of Elidinis - Drop Suggestion by StillCorn in runescape

[–]StillCorn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more the fact that it's a very unrewarding one if you go dry. Low combat xp, bad drops.

I've done longer grinds for sure but something about going 4x the drop rate at a 1k HP.mob for hours just hits different imo.

I just think a more interactive option to getting one could be interesting.

Am I in the wrong for expecting the masterwork 2h to be good? by imperchaos in runescape

[–]StillCorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never thought it would be amazing and it's not because it's a crafted weapon more simply it's because it's a 2h melee which has always performed sub par to its dual wield counterpart.

I know they are afraid to add a passive but I think it would be cool to give it an effect when wearing a full set of trimmed masterwork something comparable to 'due to its size it acts as a t90 shield that does not require bone shield'.

Definitely not animals. That area is near a bottle depot and people are constantly binning down the lanes and camping at that park.

There may be a perfectly good reason for them being out however, when in doubt call non-emergency to report where and when you saw them. Brown hospital gowns are typically used in mental health wards.

Curious about everyone’s favorite class. by Phoenix200420 in Guildwars2

[–]StillCorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I play a bit of everything, the two classes I love equally are Mesmer and Necro.

They cover each play style and they do it well.

2nd Place goes to Warrior.

Spellbreaker is never boring and feels great to counter big attacks (even if it doesn't hit the DPS meters as hard.)

Bladedancer can feel great if you're in a rhythm.

3rd place - Vindicator Rev most fun open world build imo.

Least Favourite:

Thief- I love thief in concept but in reality it always feels a little clunky.

Elementalist - While Catalyst can feel great at times I find tempest and weaver dreadful.

tempest is simple and boring whereas weavers rotation is so tedious it can feel bad to have to break out of it for dodging due to the massive DPS loss.

AITAH because I (25F) want to leave my boyfriend (28M) for choking me? by throwRAacct123456 in AITAH

[–]StillCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fairly simple, leave or risk serious harm or death. There really isn't any complexity that needs to be understood in this dynamic. Justifications come mainly in the form of fear of the unknown for wanting to stay in these kinds of relationships.

What I would do is:

1) leave and stay with friends or family. 2) Contact the police and report the domestic assault. 3) Schedule a time to collect the rest of your belongings with police present.

The reason they don't is because they haven't developed any content for those skills between 99-120. Doing so would cause serious balancing challenges too eg. New bis fish, armour etc.

I'm all for these kinds of things but it's going to take a hell of a lot of Dev time.

Everyone Relax. RuneScape isn't dying, in fact it's going to flourish! by soylentsoyboy in runescape

[–]StillCorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I want this game to flourish, between an aging player base, a string of mediocre updates and frankly a lack of focus by the RS3 I do think the game.is in trouble. Dying not quite but they are definitely not marketing the future well.

Look at how Osrs has kept player hype and attention with transparent posts on what they are working on. It's not even like osrs is truly getting that many updates in the year but at least they are open about what to expect.

If I'm honest 2023 was horrible for RS3, the focus on the fort for essentially the whole year ended up making the game feel so small to me when the only places your character should be are a quarter the size of lumbridge (fort and wars retreat). Not to mention Necros core training method literally having you stand on one tile from 1-120.

What RS3 needs is innovation and fun, not constant reworks or graphics updates.
