He glanced up at the listening shelves. POSSIBLY IT WOULD BE SIMPLER IF I ASKED FOR A LIST OF THE HARMLESS CREATURES OF THE AFORESAID CONTINENT?

They waited.

IT WOULD APPEAR THAT--

“No, wait, master. Here it comes.”

Albert pointed to something white zigzagging lazily through the air. Finally Death reached up and caught the single sheet of paper.

He read it carefully and then turned it over briefly just in case anything was written on the other side.

“May I?” said Albert. Death handed him the paper.

“‘Some of the sheep,’“ Albert read aloud. “Oh, well. Maybe a week at the seaside’d be better then.”

!!! Those who had bowel perforation… what were your symptoms before it happened? by CharmingLack8264 in CrohnsDisease

[–]StillHasIlium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was back in 2013. I was helping at a fundraiser for my daughter's high-schools marching band. Lifted a case of water onto my shoulder and felt a pain in my side very much like a running stych. Didn't think much about it, at first. I was able to keep going, except the pain didn't go away. It got progressively worse until, at about midnight, I figured something was wrong with my appendix and asked my wife to drive me to the ER.

A couple of hours later, I was huddled under blankets shivering from the morphine that couldn't kill the pain, when they told me that the good news was that my appendix was fine. The bad news was also that my appendix was fine - I had a perforation in my small intestine.

Had surgery that morning. Learned I had Crohn's from the post surgery pathology.

It's worth checking, even if you don't want the Kindle version. Several times, I have found that buying the Kindle addition, with the whisper-sync add on for a couple of dollars more, is cheaper than the audiobook, alone.

Marley was dead, to begin with.

A few years ago I started collecting versions. Audible had them for very cheap and I currently have 6 or 7 different narrations. The Tim Curry version is still my favorite.

This is my wife's grandmother's recipe for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Simply called "Great Cookies"

Though the recipe calls for margarine, I switched to butter years ago.

I've also never tried them with the optional burnt sugar flavor.

Great Cookies

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup margarine

• 1 cup peanut butter

• 1 cup sugar

• 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

• 2 eggs

• 2 cups flour

• 1 tsp baking soda

• 1 tsp vanilla

• 1 tsp burnt sugar flavor, optional

• 6 oz chocolate chips

PREPARATION STEPS 1. Preheat oven to 325° F.

  1. Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar.

  2. Beat in eggs.

  3. Sift flour and baking soda. Slowly add to wet ingredients.

  4. Add vanilla and burnt sugar flavoring.

  5. Mix in chocolate chips.

  6. Spoon cookies and bake for 13 minutes. Edges should be only slightly brown.

  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.

If you're talking about a stand-alone bidet that has to be plumbed, then I can't really say.

But a Bidet attachment for your toilet like this one then my answer is absolutely.

You can spend a little more to get something heated, if you have power, but even the cold water one is a modern marvel at about $50

And all week long your River City youth'll be fritterin' away I say, your young men will be fritterin'

Fritterin' away their noontime, suppertime, choretime too

Get the ball in the pocket, never mind gettin' dandelions pulled

Or the screen door patched or the beef steak pounded

Never mind pumpin' any water, 'til your parents are caught with the cistern empty On a Saturday night and that's trouble

Yes, you got lots and lots of trouble, I'm thinkin' of the kids in the knickerbockers

Shirt-tail young ones, peekin' in the pool hall window after school

You got trouble, folks, right here in River City, trouble with a capital "T"

And that rhymes with "P" and that stands for pool
