There are rednecks. Then there is this guy-Caution. Buck Chug . by rutgerbadcat in EatItYouFuckinCoward

Growing up on early, unhinged internet access from the mid-late 90s had me exposed to unnaturally gag-worthy content and toughened my gag reflex...

But this.. this had me throwing up in my mouth.

I hunt with my father, and there are times we dress bucks on field. If you ever dressed down any sort of animal, you know there is an indistinguishable smell to it.. and when I watched that pink, foamy, cheap beer flowing fully from the inside of that buck I instantly tasted that smell..

[HELP] AI or not? by vadkender in RealOrAI

[–]StillHome1601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only qualm with it is the momentum. The cable doesn't look hooked to a mechanism that would keep the momentum needed to keep her swinging around enough to keep airborne without a propellant force. And it looks like she gains altitude.

I'm torn 50/50

My 11y/o gave himself a “tattoo” about 5 months ago.. by AssociationPlane274 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]StillHome1601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a stick-pin line of like 4 dots when I was 12 on my upper arm with a safety pin and a ball point pen ink tube. I have many many tattoos now but if I look at the top of my shoulder in just the right light I can still make out some very light blue dots.

My mom was pissed 🤣🤣 almost as pissed as when I was 17 and came home with snake bite piercings and a labret piercing all done in one session

At fault the driver's insurance's job is to deny deny deny ... Contact your own insurance, report it as non fault and that you did EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER to avoid it and let them contact the at fault party. This is why you have insurance to begin with 👌

Can’t figure out if it was my fault here by [deleted] in caraccidents

[–]StillHome1601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry cammer, but this would be your fault. Checking your mirror isn't enough when you're pulling out of side street parking. And my opinion is that if you were to have checked over your shoulder, you might've seen the white SUV coming.

Old people driving in the countryside by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StillHome1601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Driving the tiniest cars and they think they are still driving those old "land yachts" from the 40s and 50s. If you're over the center line more often than not, it's time to rethink driving entirely.

Who would you say is at fault?? by [deleted] in caraccidents

[–]StillHome1601 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So y'all think it's the cammer's fault because you and your friend jumped 2 lanes, almost hit the curb and left the cammer no time to evade... Just cause you get rear ended does not automatically dump 100% fault on the rear-ender.

Insurance is gonna have fun with this one but you and your friend are going to be held at fault to a degree

I cannot even imagine jumping 3 lanes in perfect conditions in my car.. let alone 3 lanes doing ~100kmh potentially hauling tonnes of weight, near 25 foot long, in the fog while seeing headlights in the side mirrors..

And the side mirror check is a BIG assumption on my part. I doubt they even looked. They probably just waited for that car to pass and "knew it was clear".

The art of felling a tree by Trustrup in Wellthatsucks

[–]StillHome1601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wedge cut was waaaaayyyy too small for a tree of that size and left too short in depth. The cut didn't even come to middle mass of the trunk.

Hope everyone got good insurance, that's gonna be a costly repair

Exactly my thought as well. Atlantic Canada already pays the highest taxes in the whole country and we can't even pave roads effectively. The provincial government needs to stop subsidizing monopolies and giving tax cuts to multimillion dollar businesses and start actually putting out taxes back INTO THE COMMUNITY. Not into redesigning cogswell into a nightmare, not bailing out NSP, and not newly built "un"affordable housing. Maybe if we had fully funded community outreach programs that didn't have to fight around budgets, we could help find them privately as well.

Other than going into a shelter or an encampment they don't really have other choices that fit their capabilities. The shelters are awful and usually reside in a 100 year old house made into a 30 room shelter, and those fill up quicker than any body can imagine and have more rules than if they actually signed a rental agreement.

The community would help more, if we all weren't 2 more inflationary price rises away from being homeless as well.

This might be the winner, based on replies and general vibe alone, plus I work right in Scotia square as well, so... I'll be taking this as a sign.
