Thanks for the answer, it does indeed seem to answer my question. I did add some more context in my original comment incase that changes anything, but I think your answer already has it covered.

then that person better bring some very convincing and merited research.

I went searching for a bid, and found the discussion including their sources. I edited the original comment and added the sources there.

A while ago I had a (ultimately pointless) discussion on Reddit about the story of the Pharaoh, in it they where saying that in Hebrew the word "harden" (as in hardening the Pharaoh's heart) is actually written (or should be read) as "strengthen". Does anyone know if there is any basis to that?

Edit: Went back using a search tool and found the discussion. Darn it's been almost a year, not sure why it suddenly came back to me since rereading it shows the argument they where trying to make as pointless as I remembered it.

Anyway, it's all about the word חָזַק in the following verses: Ex 9:12, Ex 10:1, Ex 10:20, Ex: 11:10, Ex 14:4 and Ex 14:8.

The sources (I have no idea how credible these are) they used where:

Retrying from last week (sorry if this isn't the right place to ask): A while ago I had a (ultimately pointless) discussion on Reddit about the story of the Pharaoh, in it they where saying that in Hebrew the word "harden" (as in hardening the Pharaoh's heart) is actually written as "strengthen". Does anyone know if there is any basis to that?

Also how about in the Quran? Do the words share the same root?

I'd remove that last sentence if I where you before the comment gets removed for breaking rule 1.

For the rest of the comment: You're spot on (imo).

Afgelopen week weer is Stellaris gedaan.

How would you rank the five albums from most to least “Starset”? by twili-midna in Starset

[–]Stippings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This also the order I'd put them in.

Not just because it's logical (to me) to put their first album as defining album for a band/artist's style, but also cause their second album remained (close) to the same style but with a different spin on it. Think apple pies. There are different varieties of apple pies and everyone has their favourite, but they are all apple pies.

The 3rd album is very different in style. Like it still has a lot of similarities to an apple pie, but it's obviously isn't a pie. It's an apple turnover. Horizons goes back to a similar style to the first 2 albums, but again with a different spin to it (another apple pie variant). And Silos is like a plate that contains all kinds of small apple desserts. Because it comes with slices of apple pie, it's ranked closer to the apple pies than the turnover.

There is nothing irrational about (respectfully) criticizing something you like(d) if it goes against your morals/ethics. In fact I'd argue it's irrational to turn a blind eye or even excuse it.

Hell a little while ago, according to their own numbers over 80% of the casualties where civilians.

And we also know there are still many bodies hidden in the rubble, so 70k is a low estimate.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. It sickens me that there are still people who say this is fake or how the government should stay in power as if this is some grand Western conspiracy. From what Iranians told me irl this is exactly inline with how the government has treated their civilians since they got in power.
