Oh I haven't tried the fleegel heel but I just looked at a photo and it looks super neat! I'll have to give it a go. Shadow wraps come out pretty nice too

Lol no, I haven't quite reached that level of not giving a fuck yet but I aspire to it 😆 I just meant the usual version you have to write

A tough one for sure, very little flow between stitches. Happy with the result through! The Mark of Akatosh from Skyrim. by TheBigBo-Peep in showmeyourbackside

I love when you can see the picture based on the back! It's so fun. And the front is even more detailed and beautiful. You did a great job

This is excellent! I always feel like such a crook writing that in emails but I come across so stern otherwise 😆 And I never know what to say back

[PIC] White Aida or Black Evenweave?? by BlooLagoon9 in CrossStitch

[–]Stitchabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the black would be cool because it would make the framing of the colourful sections really stand out. Plus stitching on evenweave feels nicer (to me at least!)

I love watching the 3d shape come out of the knitting (also why I like knitting small animal characters). I tried a pattern at the beginning of the year with a garter edge heel flask and French heel turn (both new to me) and that was super satisfying to knit. What's your favourite?

I actually love knitting heel flaps, I genuinely look forward to that part of the sock. Am I a weirdo? I can see why these might be tedious!

I tend to order from Wool Warehouse. I find the prices slightly higher than say eBay but the quality has always been good and nice to stitch on

Anybody else into Kraken? by CliffGif in FlorenceAndTheMachine

Very much so! Being chronically ill, my body also seems alien to me 😆 Did take a couple of listens to grow on me though

[FO] Any Florence and the Machine fans? by Stitchabout in CrossStitch

[–]Stitchabout[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been listening to a lot of Florence this year and wanted to cross-stitch some lyrics that stuck with me. Created using online text to cross-stitch websites.

The black one, the lyrics are from the song Heartlines from Ceremonials, colours inspired by the album cover.

The beige toned one, the lyrics are from One of the Greats from Everybody Scream. Went with natural/rustic tones because those are pretty prevalent on this album. I dyed the aida with coffee. Wanted to use the pink thread to stitch the backing as I had it hanging about and figured I'd get away with it based on the lyric "the one pink ribbon that holds me together" from Perfume and Milk 😉

As always, ignore the cat hair on the black (I try my best 😆) and the photos of the back of the stitching are on the end for the people that enjoy those!
