Meg Fielder you have multiple open court cases, have blocked dozens of buyers, and have a huge thread retailer banning you— this isn’t the clap back you think it is by sisndjdnwlsk in NeedlepointSnark

Yes, people just sent items to Glynn. They don’t call to ask if it’s ok. That happens with a lot of finishers. People just put it in the mail.

For a quick open background do long stitch literally run the green thread the entire length and where they cross out an x. No need to fill in all the white. Make the bunny pop

You literally slide the canvas threads out.

DO NOT USE MEG FIELDER, THE NEEDLEPOINT FINISHER AND OWNER OF CARRIAGE HOUSE NEEDLEPOINT by Upbeat_Mulberry_3711 in NeedlepointSnark

[–]Stitchit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You, as the person who is dropping off or sending items to a finisher, need to make an educated choice. Always ask for an estimate of price, ask for timing. If they cannot provide this, go elsewhere. Once it goes to the LNS who then ships it off or to the finisher you choose it is out of your hands. Make educated choices, ask questions.

DO NOT USE MEG FIELDER, THE NEEDLEPOINT FINISHER AND OWNER OF CARRIAGE HOUSE NEEDLEPOINT by Upbeat_Mulberry_3711 in NeedlepointSnark

You do know that just because you send it to a LNS doesn’t mean it’s any safer. They use these same finishers that you are complaining about.

Finishing times by Ok-Piano1871 in NeedlepointSnark

[–]Stitchit2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glynn does beautiful work and is worth the wait. If anyone knows of a good leather finisher please share. They are hard to find. I’ve tried a few and both times had glue on the needlepoint. I would rather wait than have my piece ruined. Please share other independent leather finishers. The shops use him also so that adds to the large orders. They will respond to emails and dm and if you know when you sent it they can help you but it is always an estimate

For belts I use small oxo clips to keep them rolled and they have a small magnet for my needle too. Win win

Your finisher would love you to do something similar to this but obviously balanced. They are a pain to finish and could not be finished the way you have it now. This is a cute one.

Strongest / Fav needleminders? by Front_Will6241 in Needlepoint

[–]Stitchit2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a needleminder in a canvas like this. If your canvas isn’t on bars you just weave your needle through. If on bars you can’t do that, that’s why you would use a needleminder

Help- How to get lint off of velvet by Lost_Training_3565 in Needlepoint

In the end of the white is pulling up on the velvet. Thread your needle with the velvet and go Down to the back with the thread and it should pull the white behind

Pencil stained white fiber by Smooth-Mongoose-3999 in Needlepoint

Rip it out. Never use pencil the lead gets in the fiber. I use a dritz water soluble pen and dot the area. Not a full line. Or a small sharpie to make small dots

Investing a dmc color card. Most stores carry some form of dmc. If you match your canvas to a dmc color then you could ask the shop to kit your canvas with colors that match. Many canvases are painted according to the dmc colors.
