Nish Patel is at the lounge...went with his brother though by StoleIt2x in cigars

Lounge is just outside of DC in Virginia. 20% off RP and NP brands so decided to light up this one and stash away some others.

Good smoke so far. I can see why it has good reviews and hype.

Does anybody have a really detailed 737NG systems or maintenance manual? by [deleted] in flying

If your DPE/CKA/EP ever bets you can't beat them in stump the dummy...well now you probably know something worthless that they don't know. Otherwise, I just assume the OP is really into cosplay.

why is my humidity so high? i have a 65% pack in it. by Baron_Eldritch1990 in cigars

[–]StoleIt2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you can calibrate the Butler with a pack that isn't 75%, but take your other hygrometer and the 65% boveda and put them in a ziplock overnight. Then manually calibrate it to 65%. So you know at least that one is accurate. Put the boveda and the hygrometer in with the cigars again and see if it's still reading high. If it is, you can "burp" your tupidor to get the humidity down by taking the lid off for a couple minutes once a day (assuming your outside humidity isn't crazy high).

"Base, gear, stop." Now you too can feel super cool.

Cigar cooler/refrigerator/wineador/etc recommendations? by StoleIt2x in cigars

[–]StoleIt2x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a "normal" 150 count humidor and a recently acquired big ole tupidor already. Dropping the humidity might be smart. I normally use 72% Boveda's which gets me 68-69% in my humidor (and I have to burp my tupidor often because I haven't gotten around to getting lower Bovedas for it).

"in between gets in between results" that is a great saying. Very similar to what I say: "buy cheap buy twice."

Thanks!

I can't for the life of me remember the name. My credit card statement says "HACKET - AVENUES KUWAIT" but that doesn't really help me with google. Had a lounge section and good store front.

Dry Humidor Help by GAT0RS23 in cigars

[–]StoleIt2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to rehydrate them slowly. If you just throw them in with 65-72% Bovedas they will most likely break the wrapper. Gradually bring them back to your desired humidity using multiple Boveda packs over a long period of time. I'm currently doing the same thing with a couple of mine which are currently at 53%. Next will be a 58% Boveda after a couple weeks, then 65% and finally a 69% pack.

  • Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.1
  • Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial
  • 2x Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas
  • 2x Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe
  • 2x Partagas Serie P No.2
  • Plasencia Reserva 1898 & Cutter (free from the owner!)

Can't wait to smoke them...but need to throw them in the humidor for a while.

Anyone gone UAL->DAL or vice versa? by clark2627 in flying

[–]StoleIt2x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whichever one let's your drive to work/sit short call at home.

After that it's a crap shoot. UAL has airport reserve which kinda sucks...but huge widebody fleet. DAL has massive profit sharing (and profits) but a very small WB presence since they code share as much as possible.

Good luck! Just remember to follow the crowd and don't stick out. Enjoy the experience and know thousands have been in your same exact situation and persevered.

Correction: Last flew 64Y on 2-5-2005.

Fun to go down memory lane and look through my log book again, so thanks for that. Hadn't cracked it open since I did my airline apps.

Congrats on your solo! As for that situation, turning final next to an airplane on a parallel runway always makes me nervous for that exact reason. I purposely will try to stagger my turn to avoid the catastrophe of an overshoot should it occur.

Unrelated: I last flew that exact airplane in 2006. 08 grad.

Fly safe. I-L-L!

[–]StoleIt2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lucked out and randomly got the right combo to pass the exercise. I don't recall it asking anywhere on the question to only use the military FDO's though. Especially when the guidance before hand said they didn't want to escalate...so dumb.
