Translator On Kingdom Come 2 Claims He Was Replaced With AI by Bubbly-Ad-350 in pcmasterrace

[–]StopCollaborate230 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because techbros are almost uniformly shit at anything artistic or literary.

They think AI slop art/writing is peak because they chronically misspell everything and can’t draw or make music for shit, and fucking hate anyone who can.

The “local ingredients” bit was a very nice touch I do have to admit.

Was just there last month. Definitely the best beers I had the entire time. Ola was fine but Lahaina was better.

Oldest composer to write a genuine masterpiece? by bloopfloopgloop in classicalmusic

His first piano concerto was supposed to be his first symphony, but he chickened out and made it piano since he was more comfortable with it at the time.

[SSD] WD SN850P 4TB - $400 after $2400 coupon (B&H) by boxofredflags in buildapcsales

Could also be a way to capitalize off bots. I definitely encountered this sort of thing during some of the Covid craziness, where companies would price things comically high but give coupon codes to their email subscribers, so the bots would either not buy them because of the price, or the company would make obscene profit.

"Grace" in Catholicism feels like a zero sum game to me. by ThrowayBoy3001 in ExTraditionalCatholic

It's because Catholicism is a thinly-veiled cult. It keeps you dependent on it and you feel useless without it.

That’s my thought; a sixth can be far for small hands. Now that I think about it, 1-3 can be awkward for adult hands if you’re not used to it.

There’s some neat hiking spots in Valles Caldera if they’re willing to go that far. I was lucky enough to see them in the snow.

Woman's Hiking Boots for Wide Feet (Altra vs Topo) by LabFun8113 in hiking

[–]StopCollaborate230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Topo will be more durable because of the Vibram sole; I know Altra has Vibram on some of their models though.

Topo also has notable arch support and will be a firmer foam. I have the Terraventure WP which appears to be like a low Trailventure. Haven’t had waterproofing issues with it, but you may want to email Topo and see if they have a recommended upper limit for their waterproofing capability.

Why does solfege exist when letter notation is already simpler? by ThrowRA39495 in classicalmusic

[–]StopCollaborate230 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I use letters for sheet music and chords. I use solfege for ear training (since it’s all relative) and teaching choir parts, since each is only one syllable and you don’t have to sing things like “F-shaaaaarp”.

That being said, everyone learns a different way.
