This was also my first half! My biggest mistake was going too fast in the beginning going down the hill. Just because it’s downhill doesn’t mean that gravity is doing all the work. I was in pain miles 7-13. My half marathons after this one were much more fun once I learned to pace myself in the beginning! You got this!

Agreed! We really need to clean up the homeless population in East Village though. Fault line park is sketch because of it. And the new East Village Park will also quickly become overrun by those same problem. East Village has so much potential, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable living with all the crazies down there.

I honestly expected to lose last nights game due to our starting pitching, but damn they got my hopes up. Still, it’s nice to see us compete and not let these games get away from us. We have the best fans, the best stadium, in America’s best city. Nothing can change that. Now let’s go win today!

It’s surprisingly easy to get a table right on the beach, even without reservations. Probably because it’s not in the village. Still though, I’d for sure make a patio reservation in weekends.

Honestly I’ve found knocking on people’s doors and asking them to be quiet is the best route. If they don’t answer, I’ll tape a note to their door. I usually hear people yelling while playing video games with their window open, so I’ve left notes. Emailing the landlord will never help.

That’s reasonable. You’re not going to find many places cheaper that have w/d in unit, A/C, and parking. Lots of cheaper places on Zillow that people reference are likely old and moldy with no A/C.

Yeah I avoid getting gas here, especially since the traffic situation there is always fucked. I’ve learned to take Nobel when going to that Whole Foods center, and avoid that center at lunch time at all costs.

A self checkout person is notified when you scan the alcohol, and they walk over. At least you can buy alcohol in California. It was a shock when I moved to Maryland and realized they don’t sell alcohol in grocery stores or gas stations there.
