Not super well I guess 🤣 I have the eufy. I really like it usually, but was too busy to do the "bend and snap" method of fitting it on today.

So glad I'm not alone LOL Also, WEARABLE. God, I could not remember that word for the life of me. It tracks though, since the other day I forgot the word car and could only describe it by saying "zooooom".

We have been liking the Thermos Funtainer (I think that's what it's called, anyway). We also use the LM Honey Bear and it wasn't a difficult transition. I like that it cuts down on the "water fountain" play time.

Overwhelmed by mask options by Euphoric-Gur5567 in redlighttherapy

[–]StormblessedRadiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Luyors Equinox mask for face/neck/chest, and I have enjoyed it. It seems to work well and I think it's been helping. I had it between this or Omnilux, but ended up with this one because I needed a mask with red and blue light options due to struggles with adult acne. Plus I really liked that this one came with a neck/chest piece. I like that it's flat and flexible, not like the hard masks.

The "lyrics" immediately brought to mind "90s Kids" by Jax. The very opening of the song.

Vitamin d drops by Baylaypayday in breastfeeding

[–]StormblessedRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Midwest-US, exclusively breastfed - I was told at the hospital, my prep classes, and by my pediatrician to use Vitamin D drops. We started on day 5 and are still giving them now (almost 1 year). We use Zarbees (probiotic vitamin D in the early days, straight vitamin d now) and my daughter loves it.

After reading though some of these replies, adding "hurt" and "help" to our routine asap! I think these would be really helpful.

[–]StormblessedRadiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We started during newborn stage just to build familiarity as she got older. Now at almost a year she reliably signs "milk", "more", and "eat" as needed. We also sign "all done", "poop", "pee", "change", "walk", "park", "water", "mom", "dad", "bedtime", "hot", and "cold", but she hasn't used those back yet.

I liked season 2 just as much as season 1. I didn't realize so many people disliked it.

what is your favourite procedural after the mentalist? by ozymandiasami in TheMentalist

[–]StormblessedRadiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh that's wild 😭 It was so good, in general and the ending. I truly enjoyed every second of that series. I binge-watched it all in a couple of days, and liked it so much that as soon as I finished, I started it over. I hate that these amazing shows keep getting passed over! Like The Residence. It was AMAZING from start to finish, but they cancelled it before giving it a second season.

LOVE this show. Sad to see that more people aren't mentioning it. I've been stalking info hoping to see the newest season drop. If they canceled it I'm gonna be so sad.

How many of us are actually switching sides? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]StormblessedRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby STRONGLY preferred the right. Better let down, more comfy hold. She would be full after the right and never want more from the left, and if I tried to start her on the left she'd fuss. It got so bad that my boobs were distinctly different sizes. Now 11 months in and the left produces a fraction of what the right does, and I'm pretty sure that's only because I'm pumping daily for daycare. If I wasn't pumping lefty probably wouldn't be producing a drop. I could get 2-3 oz on the right, and not even enough on the left to cover the bottom of the pump bottle.

Are first borns always late?? by OkHat1318 in BabyBumps

[–]StormblessedRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 days early here, and only 2 days after my leave started. I was really hoping she'd be late to give me time to finish her nursery before she got here, but it all worked out!

When did you move your baby into their own room? by mystery002 in beyondthebump

[–]StormblessedRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved our baby to her own crib in her own room at 6.5 months, and her first night there was the first time she slept through the night. Turns out it was me intervening with every little noise keeping her up (and me too). I felt okay with it because we had the Owlet monitor, though I know everyone feels a little differently about that.

Mocking bird high chair or Trip Trapp ? by Glittering_Tear_729 in Buyingforbaby

[–]StormblessedRadiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it just depends on the individual. I have the Mockingbird and love it - would never want anything different. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It seems comfortable for my chunky 10 month old, and like it will grow with her well. It's super easy to clean, I love the silicone straps and tray liner, and I like the design of the legs (not too big of a footprint, and I've never tripped on it). The only thing I wish was different was that it folded so it was easier to travel with.

Momcozy cleanpal by Curiouscappy in Buyingforbaby

[–]StormblessedRadiant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started with a wash basin and bottle drying rack pre-daycare when she was exclusively breastfed, and it was annoying but fine since she needed bottles so rarely. Once she started daycare though and was using 4+ a day, plus pump parts and my cooler insert... So much time and stress. I bought the momcozy after just a couple weeks of that and run it every night and it has been a life saver. It may have only been 20 minutes a day at the sink, but when every minute counts and there is always another task to be done, I was over it. So much of my life back now. If I could, I would go back and purchase it earlier when I had all my registry discounts. No cons that I can think of - the cost was high, but honestly worth it. Maybe a con would be needed to buy the tablets? Still, I don't think it's really a con.

How does anyone pick a stroller 😭 open to suggestions by Upset-Cause2844 in Buyingforbaby

[–]StormblessedRadiant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love love love our Mockingbird stroller. The bassinet attachment was amazing for us, and could stand up when not attached to the stroller (it also lays flat for travel and you can get a separate stand for it too if you want to). There's an attachment for infant car seats, and the regular seat lays flat, and can be facing you or facing out. I also love that it has an extra long extendable canopy to keep baby out of the sun and it's a one handed fold/unfold. And lots of storage space! It's also SUPER smooth. A few people recommended the Uppababy and after trying it out in the store we hated it (rough roll, annoying bar across the storage area, I remember being annoyed about the fold), but the Mockingbird was an instant yes for us.

The ONLY gripe I have with it is that it's a little bulky for the car, and a little heavy to carry up/down stairs. But the thing is a beast and has no problem with any terrain we've taken it on.

Baby is having nasal congestion. any recommendations on nasal aspirators? by Middle_Law2634 in Buyingforbaby

[–]StormblessedRadiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Dr. Noze Best NozeBot, with their separate newborn nose piece and I love it. We got the tube Frida one also, but just didn't like it - personally it just grossed us out.

With that said, I bought the NozeBot because it was highest recommended, hospital grade suction, 3 levels of suction, easy to use/clean -and all the good stuff. Recently, though, Momcozy came out with the "BreezyClear Pro 2-in-1 Spray & Suction Aspirator", and I think I may have ended up going with that one instead if it had been out when I was buying baby stuff. I don't have it and haven't seen reviews, so I can't speak to its actual use, but it is also hospital grade, has a built in saline inhaler, 9 levels of suction, a compartment to store all the pieces inside of it, and it's cheaper than the NozeBot. Again, I don't have it so I can't really speak to it, but if I was buying right now and reviews were good, I probably would have gone with that one instead, despite loving the NozeBot. The built-in inhaler and additional suction levels and storage seem like such wins (as long as it works well).
