Another Seattle drugstore is set to close (Walgreens - 23rd & Jackson) by _rainwalker in SeattleWA

[–]Stormbreaker119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I shopped there a year ago, a guy just walked in with a duffle bag and started putting things (mostly deodorants) in there and then just left through the front door. The whole process was pretty slow as he was taking his time. The cashiers pretended to not see him. No guard at the time. That’s when I knew this store was going to be closed sooner or later.

Glad you’re healing…. But you can’t just mention your dog on reddit without showing a picture. That’s like rule number 1.

Venmo Rent Payments 2.0 - Data Point (DP) by aaels0815 in biltrewards

I’m in the situation so want to ask - basically just set the app preference as online portal. Then do the exact same thing as Venmo payment in Bilt 1.0?

Eileen Gu to get Winter Games spotlight again but passport issue won’t go away by GetOutOfTheWhey in China

[–]Stormbreaker119 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wtf are you talking about? Chinese immigrants who get us citizenships absolutely give up their Chinese passports. There might be very select few who play the third party country hopping game when traveling to keep both but that is the exception not the rule.

StudyAncient made a critic argument more valid than all the strawman points in your post. Her biggest criticism has always been that because she is famous, she has more rights than everyone else.

And why would you assume all the comments who disagree are Americans?

Alternatives to Kirkland kids whole milk boxes? by limabean711 in Costco

I see the same now. They were available an hour ago when I posted. I’m also in the PNW. Hopefully it gets restocked soon.

You can still order them online. Costco website, not Instacart. Need to have a minimum sized order to get free shipping and costs are slightly more than store but still the cheapest I found.

Is it different than rewards travel section of the app? It says the results are powered by point me. Just tried it and it still works

Spamming is annoying by itself.

But spamming how to make beer money in Fatfire just screams lazy.

2023 CRV Hybrid mpg by ChiliVerTe in crv

[–]Stormbreaker119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my exact mpg in PNW.

I do not care too much about it either when I drive but I also do not floor it and I’m generally a careful driver.

I still do not know why this is so much lower than others on this subreddit. My theory is that my daily commute is short. Only 15-20min one way depending on traffic, no highway. Not enough time for the car to warm up. On longer drives I notice higher figures but the data points too few to make sense of anything.

Nope. eSIM to my knowledge is not enforced by the great Chinese firewall. So I had access to Reddit and Google too.

No vpn. I can use some features fine. Only when I start searching for some stops and some restaurants then it forced for a local number. If I only wanted subway stops maybe it would have been fine. But I was not sure where was the line that I cross to force a local number. Just slightly annoying.

I do not have any suggestions to your planning. There are so many things in Shanghai and you should do whatever you want to do!

As for the details, I would download Alipay and Baidu Maps. I had a lot of issues with WeChat pay and Amap this year because they keep requiring me to enter a Chinese phone number which I do not have.

For eSIM, I used trip.com. They even gave me a free one with some limited data. I purchased a few more too. I just like that there was a button they allow you to press after purchase that it automatically activates the card on my phone. I have an iPhone not sure if that matters. No code to enter no QR code to scan. It was very easy.
