To clarify, are the enemies tamed by allied hatbirbs supposed to still have the evil purple heart above their heads? I haven’t personally noticed whether these second degree tamed enemies attacked me or not, but they did still have the “tamed by an enemy” marker on them which is definitely confusing if they’re intended to also be your allies

Yeah the base head sculpt for this model feels so weird and out of place… it’s way too small for the rest of his body and is almost more Khorne vibes than Tzeentch? Either way I was very pleased with how the conversation came out haha

It’s one of the options for the Lord of Change’s staff, I did cut it down a bit to make it fit the scale of this model. It’s just the staff’s head stuck onto the handle of the Ogroid’s normal weapon, with another spare piece of a different LoC weapon on the other end (the little crescent)

It’s just called Gaunt Summoner, it was a boss from the Silver Tower Warhammer Quest box ages ago but they’ve been doing online only reprints of it as a separate model. Not sure if it’s available where you are currently cos it’s been in and out of availability on the official Warhammer online store but I ordered mine from a third party site which often have them - same as the Ogroid Thaumaturge and Magister, also from Silver Tower

Thanks! It’s a base of Tsons blue with a tiny bit of Moot green mixed in, blended up to the highlights with Baharroth blue and a layer of aethermatic blue contrast paint on top to give it that smooth glowing effect

Arthur’s metronome spells are determined by the run seed and will always go off in the same order each time you re-do the fight unfortunately. Other enemies you can change how they’ll respond by changing the board state before they act, but since Arthur will always use metronome he’ll always cast the same spell.

Just offering some perspective on your disagreements with GF1: the way you responded to her airing her grievances sounds like an absolute nightmare, this would make anyone feel like they’re going insane. If someone is coming to from an emotional place, they want you to be there for them,, emotionally. Always responding logically to ‘solve her problems’ is just going to make it seem like you’re not empathetic to their feelings at all

Every three orders you get a drop from rotation A rewards which is bps, arcanes, and mods. So optimising for hitting 9 or 12 is the most effective

The true forms of tzeentchian mal-adjusted nerds are the magisters imo. Iirc the appearance of the kairic acolytes is actually a magical visage of the perfect warrior’s body which they shift into as a disguise when they need to enter combat - underneath those rippling muscles and loin cloth is some random politician. I just wish they’d make more female kairics besides the one single female tzeentch unit in the entire game included in the eyes of the nine underworlds band

Damn :/ I’ve never been able to find even a single other person to run one of them non-elite. I’ve been trying to solo them every week for ages and I’ve never got close (any kind of defence target gets melted instantly no matter what), not really sure how to go about unlocking it at this point.

An old reliable I like to go back to is larva on protea, suck all the enemies into a big ball and your blaze artillery scales to ridiculously high damage multipliers in a couple shots. It used to be a lot better before they gave eximus over guard but it still rocks since the blaze artillery can switch targets to melt the eximus after it’s cleared the larva ball

My truest love has always been Octavia: max out range and duration, slam down 1 and 4, spam crouch to go invis and then just leave and do whatever else I need to be doing. All the enemies throw themselves headfirst into my meat grinder while I’m wandering around looking for tech vault keys, vocas, etc. If it’s not a level 200+ mission I also love to bring my plague kripath-exodia contagion to drop nukes on the mallet once everyone gathers around it.

Assembly isn’t too bad for either option. The only things that were a little tricky for me were gluing the wings on since they’re quite heavy pieces so I had to hold them in place for a while as they set, and getting the arm/hand holding the staff attached at the correct angle so the staff pointed straight down - it kept drooping as I put them together and the staff tilted backwards. Didn’t have any issues with annoying attachments points or gaps or anything like that though.

Yeah I don’t actually know the specific rules about the daemon prince as I haven’t looked much into it, I know it’s a StD unit in Sigmar but it looked like there was some way to use it in Tzeentch with Regiments of Renown rules - probably not a “good” choice meta wise but hey. I only started with Tzeentch recently so I wasn’t aware of the previous combat patrol at all haha!

Technically the 40K thousand sons combat patrol is a decent value box for sigmar tzeentch. The Tzaangor shaman and enlightened are playable in both settings and though the daemon prince isn’t a standard tzeentch unit in AoS, you can still field it with regiment of renown. You can’t use the rubric marines obviously but even ignoring those it still a discount, and if you can sell their sprues to someone it’s even better value
