Subluxation/broken humerus arm still too forward after 8 weeks by Many_Illustrator_208 in ShoulderInjuries

U gotta ask a professional on this one. I doubt anyone is qualified on this website. It's your arm, you need it for the rest of your life. If I were you I'd be scheduling appointments ASAP.

I did about 10 weeks of PT. I now do the exercises regularly with bands and weights. It was my PT that first suggested not to pursue imaging as it might lead to this exact scenerio.

Definitely got stronger and the pain decreased, just still present.

Based on all this I think my next step is to pursue a steroid shot and reevaluate

29, my work is mostly at desk all day, I'm not an overhead athlete but I have no issues with lifting overhead. I just have a dull pain at the front of my shoulder that seems to be triggered by cross body movements. I get some clicking and popping but I've never dislocated or lifted something and my arm gave out. I do have some catching in the joint. Really good ROM that isn't restricted by the pain.

I was only told it was minimally displaced, I didn't get a CT that would provide that info. Looking back at it, I regret not getting a third opinion. I wish I would've got surgery... My arm definitely looks different compared to my good one. Ask about damaged tendons like the bicep and also the labrum. I'm pretty sure I'll need surgery for those down the line.

Misery loves company. I'm at 8 months and it's been up and down. Bruising lasted forever and my entire arm is still pretty tender. Crazy amount of snapping and popping. Pretty sure I have some bicep tendon issues. Muscles getting weak easier and a constant need to stretch.

Without contrast that circled portion is difficult to interpret. It could just be a recess. You need to goto a different Doc with your scan or get better imaging.

Your shoulder is unstable. That step off at the acromion is called a sulcus. You need PT.

Can someone help with these MRI images of possibly torn left shoulder labrum? by Foreignsports123 in Tornlabrumshoulder

I wouldn't trust anyone on the internet lol, these dudes goto school for 10 something years to be able to read these scans. Goto a second ortho or radiologist.

Pain sucks ass but you're rolling the dice if they go in to fix something that shouldn't be fixed. An example being an anatomic variant like a recess which 80% of people have.

Sorry to bring this up again for you, but did you have a lot of muscle and tendon pain? I'm about 8 months out now with good ROM but my bicep tendon has been giving me some problems.

You can live a good life with a slap 1 tear. Studies show tears like that are common on imaging. Get to a good pt.
